Congratulations to Our Latest Big Winner
Jeff Doyle of Hammonds Plains!
What a week for Jeff Doyle! Jeff took home an incredible $36,548 with his registered number in this week’s Bay Treasure Chest 50/50 draw. Jeff played his toonie at Peppertoni’s in Hammonds Plains.
Jeff isn’t entirely sure how long he’s been playing, but he’s confident it goes back about 10 years, just a couple of years after the Bay Treasure Chest first launched. He heard about it from a friend who was already playing and encouraged him to get a number—especially after explaining how much the weekly draw supports the community. Jeff signed up and has been playing ever since. Today, his loyalty paid off in a huge way.
Jeff says he was completely surprised to get the winning call. Before this, the most he’d ever won was $125 with the Atlantic Lottery—so this week’s jackpot was quite the upgrade! When asked what he plans to do with the money, he said he hasn’t even had time to think about it yet. For now, he’s just enjoying the excitement of an unexpected windfall.
Congrats again, Jeff! And thank you to everyone who plays each week—your support continues to make a difference in our community.

Good luck in next week's draw!
Thank you for your support.

Spotlight on Honorarium Group
St. Margaret's Centre Pickleball Community
Pickleball at St. Margaret’s Centre Continues to Grow
Pickleball is booming at St. Margaret’s Centre, with full courts and a welcoming mix of new and seasoned players enjoying both the game and its vibrant social atmosphere.
Over the past year, the Centre has offered Intro to Pickleball sessions, giving first‑timers a fun and supportive way to learn the basics and discover why the sport has become such a community favourite.
This April, players at the 2.5–3.5 level can take their skills to the next level with a Skills & Drills Pickleball course, running Thursdays from 4:30–6:00 pm over four sessions for $60.
The St. Margaret’s Pickleball Community is at the heart of this success—bringing people together, keeping them active, and fostering connections through sport. The Centre also extends its thanks to the Bay Treasure Chest Association for its ongoing support of community recreation.
At the St. Margaret’s Centre, players can register for drop-in sessions or book a private court. To learn more about the St. Margaret's Centre Pickleball Community, visit the website or call 902-826-2100, extension 3274.
