Dear Fort Valley State University family,

As we enter this season of reflection and gratitude, I am reminded of the profound meaning of the word grateful. To be grateful is to recognize and appreciate the goodness that surrounds us, even in moments of challenge, and to acknowledge the people, opportunities and experiences that enrich our lives. It is a feeling rooted not only in thankfulness, but in humility and deep appreciation.

This Thanksgiving, I am especially grateful for the extraordinary individuals who make Fort Valley State University a place to Empower the Possible. As we celebrate 130 years of unapologetic excellence, our strength remains our people. This year, as I reflect on ten years of service as your president, my heart is filled with appreciation for the community that has supported, encouraged and uplifted this institution and my leadership.

To our dedicated students, thank you for your determination, curiosity and commitment to excellence. You are the heart of our mission and the reason we strive every day to do our very best.

To our exceptional faculty, your expertise, mentorship and passion for teaching continue to transform lives and expand horizons. Your impact is immeasurable.

To our hardworking staff, your dedication keeps our university moving forward. You are the steady hands and caring spirits that sustain our Wildcat community.

To our loyal alumni, partners and community supporters, thank you for standing with us, believing in us and helping us carry the legacy of Fort Valley State University for another 130 years and beyond. Your support strengthens every step we take.

As we gather with family, friends and loved ones, I hope this season offers you rest, renewal and warm moments of connection. May your homes and hearts be filled with peace, joy and gratitude.

From my family to yours, I wish you a blessed, meaningful and joy-filled Thanksgiving. Thank you for being part of what makes FVSU an enduring light in "the Valley.” And thank you for allowing me the honor of serving this remarkable institution for the past decade.

Happy Thanksgiving, Wildcats!

In Wildcat Spirit,
