Tweetsie Railroad Opening Day

Tweetsie Railroad opens for the 2026 season of wild west family fun this Saturday! The Easter Bunny will make special appearances during Opening Weekend at the Tweetsie Palace. The park is now open Saturdays and Sundays, 10am-6pm through Memorial Day. Then they will expand their summer hours. See Tweetsie's website below for ticket details and full hours of operation.

Blowing Rock Trout Derby

This is your friendly reminder that the Trout Derby will be taking place on May 2 this year as a part of Trout Fest by The Speckled Trout Outfitters. The Derby check-in and registration will be at Broyhill Park, 173 Lakeside Dr. It starts at 7am and all participants are required to register.

Children's art will take place at The Speckled Trout Outfitters until noon on May 2. Ages 16 and under are invited to participate. Stay tuned for more information on Trout Fest.

Artists in Residence

Artists in Residence is gearing up again at Edgewood Cottage, and starts officially on May 25. It runs through September 7, and features different artists each week. The artists are able to talk about their craft, and sell their art directly.

Art in the Park

It's that time of year again! We're gearing up for the 70 plus juried artists to line Park Ave. The first Art in the Park of the season takes place on May 16 and runs from 10am-4pm.
