Okay, let’s talk about it (address the "Elephant (on skis) in the room)—Mother Nature doesn’t always play by the rules. Last year was... well, unpredictable (to say the least). But this season, we're kicking things off with high hopes and a whole lot of optimism! With all the buzz about La Niña, we're crossing our fingers and toes for a fantastic winter ahead!
Our grooming crew is ready to work their magic once again, and with our top-notch grooming equipment, including our snow guns and new electric snowmobile, our team will be working hard to provide the best possible conditions.
But here’s the thing—we need YOU to keep the trails rolling! By becoming a CNSC member, you’re not just gaining access to our incredible winter trails, you’re also supporting our dedicated CNSC team of staff and volunteers who work year-round to keep our trails thriving! From mountain biking, hiking, and paved trails to disc golf in the summer, and skate, classic, snowshoe trails, and upcoming Fatbike trails in the winter, your membership plays an important part in making the magic happen all year round!

We are thrilled to announce that the Caledonia Nordic Ski Club has received a grant from the Province of BC to regularly groom the trails at Crooked River Provincial Park (Bear Lake)! Thanks to this support, we've added 6 km of stunning trails to our network for everyone to enjoy this winter.
A huge thank-you to our friends at YRB for their generous help in keeping the parking area clear, ensuring safe and easy access for our members. Keep an eye out—we will likely be out there soon, preparing the trails for a fantastic season ahead!

We are thrilled to introduce our new Program Coordinator for the season, Lindsay Mullen! She brings great energy to our team, and we’re excited for all she will contribute to our future athletes.
Registration for our Skills Development Program is open, and spots are available!
We are gearing up for what could be our best season yet. This year, we are moving our weeknight sessions to Wednesday evenings, giving young skiers a unique chance to train with club athletes who will be joining us as coaches to inspire the next generation.
To support our families with this new schedule, we’re also introducing a Saturday-only Jackrabbit option for those who prefer a lighter commitment. While we still recommend the full two-day program for the most rewarding experience, we want to offer flexibility that suits each family’s needs.
As our program grows, we are always seeking enthusiastic parent coaches to join us! No need to be an expert—just bring your positive spirit and love for our Nordic community. If you’re new to coaching, our Community Coaching Course from December 13-15 will give you all the skills and confidence you need.
Help us build a supportive, fun, and passionate Nordic skiing community!

Big Thanks for Supporting our Gravel Pit Rebuild
| |
|
A huge thank you to Brandt Tractor Ltd and Sunbelt Rentals for their incredible support in our recent Gravel Pit rebuild! With a bulldozer generously provided by Brandt Tractor Ltd, Peter was able to expertly rebuild all the ramps, ensuring they’re in top shape for everyone to enjoy. Sunbelt Rentals also stepped up by donating a rough terrain forklift, allowing our dedicated volunteers to safely reconstruct our Gravel Pit shelter.
We are so grateful for the generosity of these community-minded businesses and the hard work of our volunteers. Thank you for helping us keep our club vibrant and awesome!
