Jersey Mike's Subs opens in Williston

Jersey Mike's Subs officially opened its doors in Williston on Wednesday, April 10th. The quick serve restaurant is known for its high-quality meats and cheeses, store baked bread, cookies, and brownies. The Williston store is open from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. daily at 3715 2nd Ave. W., Suite 102.

Gate City Bank celebrates Ribbon Cutting at Cash Wise Foods

Gate City Bank opened its second location in Williston on Tuesday, April 9th in Cash Wise Foods. The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors held a ribbon cutting to commemorate the event. Gate City Bank Vice President Marcus Boynkin said they were pleased to be expanding in Williston. "I know I speak for everyone at Gate City Bank when I say we are incredibly honored to serve Williston. Everyone really does make us feel like family, and we appreciate this community more than words can say."

Coyote Pups Learning Den featured at Brew Your Business

KUMV-TV - Providing childcare services can be difficult in a growing community, but one Williston childcare operator says the industry is improving. Kenzi Brown owns “Coyote Pups Learning Den,” which is two facilities serving about 140 children. Speaking at a “Brew Your Business” meeting Wednesday, she says she recently expanded into larger buildings when she saw the need for more space. “I was happy because we were growing and Coyote Pups is doing great, but it was really sad for those parents that are just moving here and looking for a facility,” said Brown. Brown says other new facilities added over the past two years have helped the region catch up with demand.

Williston Basin School District #7 to build Future Elementary School in Williston Square


Williston Herald - Williston Basin School District #7’s board meeting Monday evening resulted in the approval of a site for a new elementary school. The board selected a 15-acre parcel of land located in Lots 25 and 26 of the Williston Square Subdivision. The district has agreed to a purchase price of $1.2 million. It must make a $15,000 deposit with The Title Team in Williston within seven days. The address is still to be determined.

Sanford Health buys Great Plains Women's Health Center in Williston

KUMV-TV - Sanford Health officials said they will take over the Great Plains Women’s Health Center in Williston. Sanford President and CEO Todd Schaffer said existing staff will be offered jobs to continue working under the new ownership. He adds they will continue to offer the same services with the addition of primary and specialty care in the future. “This acquisition underscores our unwavering commitment to Williston and the surrounding communities while we continue to plan for additional services and specialties in the future,” said Schaffer. Schaffer said he remains committed to seeing a clinic added to the Williston Square Development.

1st Annual Great Basin Dog Competition April 23rd in Williston

News Release - The 1st annual Great Basin Dog Demo will showcase the remarkable work of Police K-9 dogs and their handlers. Hosted by the North Dakota Law Enforcement Canine Association (NDLECA) and Mondak Animal Rescue (MDAR), the free event will highlight the crucial role of K-9 units in serving and protecting our communities. Watch K-9 teams from different regions of North Dakota and Montana demonstrate their skills acquired through years of dedicated training. From apprehension techniques to detection skills, these teams will showcase the incredible bond between handlers and their K-9 partners. The event will begin at 5 p.m. at the Agri-Sport Complex on the Upper Missouri Valley Fairgrounds.
