Hello,
We are off to an exciting week. It's our annual paczki week for Marid Gras/Fat Tuesday. And we are really excited about this week's bag. A few notes:
Paczkis and Select Items - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
We literally shut down all other production to make these donuts fresh each day. We have to move volume to keep the lights on so to speak, so we look forward to hopefully seeing some of our non-winter members this week for this sweet treat. New Flavors this year...see below.
Nothing like a little quiche on the lips for Valentines Day...
This is an inside joke. The Amish girls in my kitchen had never heard of quiche. They also speak English as a second language. When they ask me what we are making this week, the question was, "Are we making more "kish"? They say quiche as if it's kish....
I rib them, "Don't make me tell the bishop you and your boyfriend were going to have a little kish when the sun goes down." So Lauren and I were trying to figure out a theme this week in time for Valentine's day, and I was able to connect the remote-dots on this one. Quiches for all!
Valentine's Charcuterie Boards
We sourced custom made red oak cutting boards from an Amish woodworker in the neighborhood. Each charcuterie board includes a 10" x 15" cutting board, ready for years of good service.
On the board we mixed some house made jam, a rillette, and cheeses. See below for details. $41.
Turkey Breast Lunchmeat
One of this week's feature items is our new turkey breast lunchmeat. Simply pasture raised turkey breast, a homemade brine of turkey broth, sea salt, mirepoix and herbs, and some fresh rosemary and thyme, and the naturally occurring nitrates of celery powder . We love it...and I hope you will also.
Have a great week!
