The Nicholson Project was founded with a deep commitment to providing artists with space and support to create and further their practice. This residency provides full time living arrangements in a historic home that includes a an artist studio and apartment with a fully furnished bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. This residency is open to emerging, mid-career and established visual artists, designers, chefs, gardeners, architects and more. This award is focused on BIPOC artists who live in or have ties to Southeast Washington, D.C.
