Good Afternoon,
I hope this email finds you well on this dangerously hot Thursday.
A heat advisory is in effect, cooling centers are open, and NYC pools are open until 8 PM. While not a direct offset, I hear you can stay informed and inside with A/C getting an update from Congresswoman Velasquez via zoom at 5:30 PM.
It could be even happier if more people were vaccinated against Covid-19. If you’d like to make that so click here and find the best location for you. Remember the Covid-19 vaccine is free!
However, no matter your feelings about heat, if you haven’t already, it’s important that everyone gets vaccinated against COVID-19. A review of the rising rates indicates that nearly 99 percent of covid cases, especially severe ones, are among those not yet vaccinated. It's not political; it's prudent. You don’t need an appointment, money, and anything other than the will to get a shot, so click here if you still need to.
On that note, I’ll wrap up by saying you will find lots of stuff happening in our community when you scroll past my signature, including next week’s meeting on last-mile warehouses.  However, even if you don’t care to scroll further, stay safe and enjoy the rest of your Thursday.
