Greetings!

Happy Summer. The weather we wait for in Portland all year is finally here. Yes, that's me on an actual sail boat on the Columbia River! An unusual occurrence that happens once in a blue moon. I've been spending a lot of time thinking (my biz name is Albert ideation after all) about how to keep my business and spirits afloat in these challenging times. In that vein I attended a Zoom workshop with Caelan Huntress (a yank living in NZ) recently. I and the other participants had such a good time that I've invited Caelan to lead the workshop again for you on August 19th @ 2:30pm. You'll both learn how to make Zoom a lot more fun and you'll have fun and meet some new people, too. Please come! By signing up for this event you'll also see how Caelan attracts people to his work which is worth seeing in action, too. He's kinda brilliant.

I continue my work of helping businesses and nonprofits navigate the choppy waters of the current business climate (how many boating references will he squeeze in?). Sending out a regular newsletter continues to be effective as I'm finding with a new client based in Bend, Oregon - Left Coast Raw . I met the owner, David Cascadden, at the Vegfest in Portland, Oregon a few years back and lately we've been talking about ways to build his list and sell more of his delicious organic smoothie mixes! It seems like the perfect product for families who need easy to make meals for kids (and adults) at home. I absolutely love working with people who are making healthy food or doing other great work in the world so it has been a pleasure assisting him.

I'm also thinking a lot about how to include more one on one in-person meetings in my life . That number seems the easiest one to navigate (more boats!) and provides some of that connection that is so hard to come by for the for- sea- able future.

I hope life is treating you well and please get in touch if I can help you with anything you're working on.

Take care,

Albert Kaufman
