PUBLIC HEARING ON
1:30 p.m., THURSDAY, APRIL 7

The bill seeks to reduce Liquid Fuel Tax Rates by four cents ($0.04) per gallon to rates prior to January 1, 2018.

The bill seeks to completely repeal the Liquid Fuel Tax altogether.

You may recall that the Guam Chamber opposed the liquid fuel tax increase in 2017, however, it was passed into law and became effective on January 1, 2018 [PL 34-44]. The original purpose of the tax was to contribute to the Guam Territorial Highway Fund to fund road repair and construction projects.

San Agustin, Chairperson, Committee on General Government Operations, Appropriations and Housing via email: senatorjoessanagustin@gmail.com or hand-delivered to his office located at the Ran Care Bldg.
