Here's What's New at Isle of Hope:

UWIF Thanksgiving Project

Help us provide Thanksgiving dinner for our neighbors, assisted through Wesley Community Center.

Bags will be available in the hallways again this Sunday. Simply follow the instructions to fill the bag and return it to the church office by Nov. 11th.

This is a great opportunity for children to be part of cultivating community and making a difference!

Count Me In!

We give time and money to the things we most value. Often those things are temporary or fleeting. God never asks for more than we have, but we are expected to be faithful with what God has given.

Last week was Commitment Sunday, and we hope you’ve been able to prayerfully consider how you can say, "Count Me In!" at IOHUMC as we make plans for 2027. If you haven’t yet completed your Commitment Card, you can submit it in the service this Sunday, or in the coming weeks in person, or confidentially online below

"But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, ‘Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their abundance; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.’” Mark 12:42-44

What if we all took one step up in our giving? What if we had the faith and obedience of the widow? What if we freely give, and then leave the rest up to God?

Will you say, ‘Count Me In!’ for 2027?

Outdoor Family Movie Night

Sunday, Nov. 15 at 5:00 PM | Cornus Cottage Lawn

IOHUMC Children’s Ministries invites you and your family to an outdoor viewing of Toy Story 4 on the Cornus Cottage Lawn.

We’ll have popcorn, hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and cookies. We would love it if you dressed up as one of the Toy Story characters or brought one of your favorite stuffies. Bring a blanket or chair to sit on. If it’s chilly, you might need a blanket to wrap up!

There’s no charge, but we do need you to register so that we will know how much food to provide. Monetary donations are appreciated.

Any questions, contact Beth Parr at bparr@iohumc.com or 912-663-7466.

Music & the Arts

Calling All Seasonal Singers!

The Isle of Hope Choir welcomes seasonal singers to join us as we prepare Songs of Hope and Wonder, our Advent Service of Lessons and Carols, to be presented in worship on Sunday, December 6 at 9:15 AM.

Rehearsals begin Wednesday, November 4 at 6:30 PM in the Choir Room. Whether you sing with us regularly or simply enjoy joining the choir for the Advent and Christmas season, we would love to have you be part of this special musical offering.

Rehearsal recordings will be provided for at-home listening and practice, making it easier to learn the music between Wednesday rehearsals. Come add your voice as we share music of hope, expectation, and wonder this Advent!

Got Oatmeal?

Now that it's finally starting to feel like fall, maybe your family is enjoying some cozy breakfasts. If so, hang onto those containers!

Weekday Ministries needs empty oatmeal containers for a special project. Please bring them to the church office or give them to Wez Childers. Thank you!
