Janice Lim Again
Opinion
______________________
At the February 3 City Council meeting, resident Linda Cone addressed Councilwoman Janice Lim’s failure to respond to unanswered questions. Lim has reportedly stated that her Council responsibility did not allow time to respond to school board business. Linda Cone’s point was that in supporting and helping elect left-wing school board members against her own party, Lim MADE it her responsibility.
A Little History
In recent years, Republican-endorsed Lim has been involved in the support and election of left-wing PYLUSD school board members and candidates: Marilyn Anderson, Tricia Quintero and (defeated) Misty Janssen. See party affiliations below.
Part of the left-wing PYLUSD majority includes Carrie Buck who has drawn community outrage due to excessive spending since her election in 2010. Buck is expected to run again this fall and it is assumed that Lim will support her.
Who is the REAL Janice Lim?
Linda Cone commented that in 2024, Janice Lim publicly supported the left-wing school board members and candidates through public appearances and knocking on doors. Cone stated that during that campaign, Lim contacted three members of a Yorba Linda political organization, asking that trustee and GOP candidate Leandra Blades not be allowed to speak at their meeting. Reportedly Lim told the women that Blades was “dangerous”. The speaking engagement was canceled.
In February 2024, Lim successfully campaigned by mail for a position on the Central Committee. She sent a letter to residents stating in detail how she supported core Republican values. Cone pointed out that her support of the left-wing school board candidates and members says otherwise and are not part of the GOP platform.
PYLUSD left-wing board members Buck, Anderson and Quintero support:
*Men in women's sports, locker rooms and bathrooms. PYLUSD is now under federal investigation for Title IX violations. https://www.pressdemocrat.com/2026/01/16/trump-administration-escalates-investigations-into-transgender-athlete-participation-in-california/
*Diversity, Equinity and Inclusion- DEI
*Critical Race Theory- CRT. Anderson voted against CRT in prior years. Her current position in unknown, given her voting record.
Party Affiliation:
Marilyn Anderson was endorsed by the GOP in 2020 but not in 2024 based on her voting record. She is considered by many to be a Republican in Name Only (RINO).
Tricia Quintero was previously registered as a Democrat but changed to No Party Preference when she ran for election.
Carrie Buck, Registered Democrat
Misty Janssen, Libertarian, twice defeated candidate
Leandra Blades, Registered Republican, twice GOP endorsed
Janice Lim, Ethics Violation, 2022
November 2022- Following an investigation by the City of Yorba Linda, and pursuant to Yorba Linda's Measure Y Ethics Ordinance, it was determined that Councilwoman Janice Lim had violated our ethics ordinance.
Violations:
1) Soliciting a political endorsement from the Association of Orange County Deputy Sheriffs ("AOCDS"), and distribution campaign literature with their logo to tens of thousands of homes.
2) Use of the Yorba Linda's city seal in a campaign advertisement in violation of California Government Code §34501.5
GOP Accidental Oversight?
Following Lim's election to the GOP Central Committee, she was appointed to the Ethics Committee.

A Packed City Council Meeting
February 3, 2026
Proposed High Density Development
3 stories, 64 units, 300 people
Opinion
____________________________________
36 people spoke- 35 against the high density project
1 spoke in favor, a Homes for Families affordable housing advocate
The Planning Commission approved the high density project for
City Ventures, who will build just 3 low-low units. The low-low,
state-mandated units are the most difficult for Yorba Linda
to achieve and are the least profitable to developers.
That does not take our city off the hook for future requirements.
At the February 3 meeting, the Council granted a 30-day continuance
for a traffic study and additional discussions to address
issues presented. Next Council meeting: March 3, 2026
| | |
This project was previously approved by the Planning Commission
and has now been brought forward to the Council.

Homes 4 Families, Affordable Housing Advocate
*A representative from Homes 4 Families spoke in favor of the affordable housing project, stating the age-old argument that our young people should be able to live where they grew up and/or work.
Fact: Very few first-time homeowners and young people can afford a home in Yorba Linda.
Fact: Because affordable housing contributes nothing to the community including money for streets, street lights and signs, utilities, schools, parks. etc., the overall cost to taxpayers is $1 million per unit.
Developer "Pass", Kicking the Can
City Ventures has been granted approval to build just 3 low-low units. Yorba Linda is required to build hundreds of these, which are the least profitable to the developer.
Low-Low units are least profitable for developers. Meanwhile, in the next Housing Element, Yorba Linda will fall extremely short in the low-low category. We will be required to find more land for more low-low units. Future developers will want to build less low-low and the cycle will continue.
Kicking the can down the road means increased housing numbers for Yorba Linda in the future and potential penalties for failure to comply.
Opinions Expressed by Speakers
Public Safety- Ingress and egress will be a right-turn-only. The speed limit on Yorba Linda Blvd is 40 mph.
Security Concerns- The North County Chabad Center and Preschool is adjacent. Leaders and members of the Chabad stated their fear of reprisal against the Jewish faith, including public safety for children in school. They have stated that the project needs to have no windows on the side of the Chabad and they do not support higher density.
Fire Safety Concern- If residents need to quickly evacuate, approximately 300 people would do so via Yorba Linda Blvd., which was gridlocked during the Freeway Complex Fire.
No Traffic Study was done for the nearby neighborhood streets: Ohio, Palm, Oriente.
Limited parking- Jessamyn West, next door, has limited parking. There is no parking on Yorba Linda Blvd. Nearby neighborhoods have limited lighting, no sidewalks and most have no curbs.
Jessamyn West Park- Residents have contacted the Sheriff regarding pandering and homeless people sleeping on the grounds and in the public restrooms.
The Chabad has reported homeless individuals and trespassing.
Equestrian Area- There are many horses in this semi-rural neighborhood.
Equestrians often use the trails and side streets. Additional traffic can cause serious safety issues for horse and riders, motorized vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians.
Loss of Sunlight- Neighbors will lose sun in their backyards, greatly impacting property values, landscaping, pools and solar panels as seen at Heritage Crossings (below).
This is not what voters approved.

This 3-Story Maze at Yorba Linda Blvd/Prospect near Fairway Ford
stands as a beacon for what Yorba Lindans do not want.
Approved by Gene Hernandez, Tom Lindsey, Craig Young
This project has one low-low unit, a huge win for the developer.
"Back of the House" casts a constant shadow on nearby homes.
The majority Council turned a deaf ear to residents, allowing Yorba Linda's "greatest building regret".

Supporting Law Enforcement
Requesting Your Help
Opinion
_________________________
Presently, we’re supporting ICE Officers and Border Patrol Agents through contacts in Minneapolis, Portland, LA, and other democrat controlled sanctuary cities with ‘morale boosts’ such as healthy snacks, Bibles, handwritten thank-you cards, signed banners, light-pens, and other items they might like and we can afford.
We've been in the 'business' of boosting the morale of Law Enforcement Officers for over 10 years, having served over 15,000 to date. City, county, and Federal LEOs.
Lately, we're focused on encouraging ICE and Border Patrol. They are the most vilified. As you know, they're being harassed and assaulted by hard left agitators across the country.
We've sent morale boosting items to many Officers and Agents in Minneapolis already. LA and Portland before that. We could use help. We've been told several times that Morale Boosters is the only nonprofit ministry serving ICE and Border Patrol. There are thousands of those brave LEOs to encourage.

PYLUSD Under Federal Investigation
for Title IX Violations

Do you all remember when myself and Todd Frazier brought forward a resolution to support keeping men out of women’s sports and stood for female athletes?
Buck, Anderson, Quintero
Support Men in Women's Sports
Do you remember when Todd Frazier and I voted to UPHOLD Title lX and protect women’s sports and Carrie Buck, Marilyn Anderson and Tricia Quintero voted to support men in women’s sports?
Federal investigation, Title IX Violations
Well, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District is under federal investigation by the United States Department of Education for Title lX violations. This is thanks to our three board members who voted to support men in women’s sports.
Escorted and Welcomed
Anderson and Buck escorted the trans athlete at the YLHS track meet and provided “security” for the trans athlete’s mother along with Pride at the Pier. What a slap in the face to our female athletes.
Janice Lim Again
Yorba Linda City Council member (Registered Republican and CA GOP endorsed) Janice Lim continues to stand with Anderson, Buck and Quintero and their vote against the resolution which would have stood for keeping men out of women’s sports.
Expensive, Shady Circumstances
I also am calling for the removal of attorney Todd Robbins from Atkinson, Anderson, Loya, Rudd and Romo who was hired under what I call “shady” circumstances by Anderson, Buck and Quintero and has cost our district an obscene amount of money in attorney fees in the past year.
How many federal investigations along with EEOC investigations and complaints can three board members have in a year? We shall see.

250 Years of History
Remembering Our Early Days
| | On August 24, 1814, during the War of 1812, the British invaded Washington, D.C. First Lady Dolly Madison was determined to save an 8-foot portrait of George Washington, painted in 1797 by Gilbert Stuart. That was no easy feat as the painting was bolted to the wall in the dining room, making it difficult to remove from the frame, move, and transport. | | |
Three men assisted in breaking the frame and removing the portrait. Dolly instructed the men to destroy the painting, rather than allow the British to obtain it. Following the removal of the portrait, American forces within the city assisted in rushing Dolly to safety.
That evening the British set fire to the White House, destroying its interior, roof, floors, and personal Madison possessions. The British were able to claim destruction of the city and our White House, but were not able to obtain or destroy of our famous portrait. It was stored in a farmhouse for several years before returning to the White House where it now hangs in the East Room.
Washington fought in the French and Indian War, the Quasi-War with France, and the American Revolution, as Commander in Chief. He appeared to be divinely protected, surviving many dangers from gunfire and illness. He was never shot or injured in battle, even though bullets passed through his coat and horses were shot out from under him. Washington went on to serve as our first president from April 30, 1789 until March 4, 1797. He died in 1799.
In the portrait, Washington is holding a sword in his left hand, referencing his past military service. He is dressed in civilian clothes, having resigned his commission as a military leader. The age, history, and survival of the iconic portrait, make it even more meaningful today.

What Myovich did not tell the public is that a financially irresponsible union-backed school board borrowed $48.5 million with a total repayment of $439.2 million. He did not say that the bonds are now illegal, cannot be re-financed or paid off early, and have a 38 year maturity. Beginning in 2042, the bonds must be paid back in just 8 years with an average of over $35 million per year.

How to Remove Skunk Smells-Opinion
From a post on Facebook
________________________________
The best way we’ve found to remove the smell of skunk is:
1 bottle hydrogen peroxide,
1 tablespoon dish soap
1/4 cup baking soda
Sponge
Put first two in bowl, have the stinky one ready in sink and just before you sponge the mixture on add baking soda. Be VERY careful not to get it in nose or eyes. Massage through hair. Let it sit for 10 minutes before rinsing. Use your regular soap, rinse, dry. You literally can let them sleep on your bed after with no issues.
