Dear Business Affairs team,

I'm reaching out with a heavy heart today. The senseless tragedy at FSU yesterday has deeply affected all of us, both personally and professionally. Many of you have connections to those impacted, and I know the pain you're feeling is profound. Our colleagues and partners were confronted with violence in a place where they should have felt safe—a violation that hits far too close to home.

I want to echo sentiments shared by our colleagues in a message to campus earlier this afternoon. Please don't hesitate to lean on the resources UF provides—I'll include them again at the end of this message for easy reference.

I also encourage you to support one another and reach out to me or each other as needed. The effects of yesterday's horrific event will stay with us for a long time, and we'll need to continue caring for ourselves and each other.
