We are gauging the interest of our Trojan authors in participating in this event. Once we determine the level of interest, we will proceed with planning and executing the logistics.

Help Support The VSU Concert Choir
|
The VSU Concert Choir has been invited for a weeklong residency at the University of California, Los Angeles, in March 2025. While the choir has secured a grant to support some students' attendance, it is turning to alums, friends, and its community of supporters for additional support to help make a direct impact on more VSU students' lives. Your help will enable additional students to participate in this historic opportunity, shaping their future and enriching their musical journey.
Please scan the QR code on the flyer or click this link to read more about this amazing project (developed by Jordan Hugh Sam) and, if so inclined, donate today! The code and link ensure a smooth and secure process for giving directly to the choir through the VSU Office of Institutional Advancement. You will receive an acknowledgment letter once your donation has been received and properly recorded.
Don't hesitate to contact Dr. Craig L. Robertson (crobertson@vsu.edu) for more information regarding the project and/or your donation. We appreciate your continued support of the VSU Concert Choir and hope to see you at one of the choir's upcoming performances.

Thank You for Joining Our First VSUAA Prayer Call of the Year!
Dear VSU Alumni,
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you who joined us for the first Virginia State University Alumni Association Prayer Call of 2025. Your presence, prayers, and unity in faith created a powerful and uplifting experience for all.
Because of your engagement and the positive feedback we received, we are excited to announce that the prayer call will continue once a month!
Beginning in March, we will gather in prayer at 9 AM on the first Saturday of each month through December. We look forward to strengthening our spiritual connection and support for one another as we lift up our alma mater and our communities in prayer.
As we embark on this journey together, we are reminded of the words in 1 Corinthians 12:12-14:
“Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Even so, the body is not made up of one part but of many.”
Our collective strengths as alumni across the country make us a force for good, and through this prayer call, we continue to unite in purpose, faith, and service.
With gratitude and excitement, we invite you to mark your calendars and join us in prayer each month. A flyer with login details will be sent out soon.
Together, we are Building a Bridge to Greater!
Blessings,
Rev. Kenyana Dawson
VSUAA Chaplain

Become A VSU Class Coordinator
The VSU Class Coordinator Program comprises a loyal group of alumni representing their individual class years. Class Coordinators are considered University ambassadors who help build a strong connection between classmates and the University.
Class Coordinators are some of the most valuable volunteers for the University. Job requirements are simple: a minimal time commitment and the interest to keep in touch with VSU classmates and friends. Being a class coordinator is a great way to remain involved after graduation, and you can be as active as your schedule allows.
Class Coordinators work with the VSU Alumni Office to:
- Communicate regularly with classmates via letters, calls, emails, or social networking Websites.
- Keep classmates up-to-date on VSU events and news.
- Encourage and increase participation in alumni activities such as regional events and reunions.
- Brainstorm additional ways to keep your class connected.
- Serve as a reunion planning committee member in your special reunion years.
- Promote class giving and participation
- Provide the University of Institutional Advancement with updated contact information for classmates
If you want to become a class coordinator, please get in touch with the VSU Alumni Relations Office at (804) 524- 5045 or email alumni@vsu.edu.
(If you don't see your class year represented, please consider becoming a coordinator)
