Director’s Reflection

I’m honored to step into leadership of the Rutgers Institute for the Study of Employee Ownership and Profit Sharing. The Institute’s past leaders and its staff, supporters, and fellows have built something remarkable: a global research community and a field of inquiry with profound relevance to the future of work and the economy.

One priority for my leadership will be to strengthen the connection between scholarship and practice. Researchers and practitioners bring different kinds of knowledge to shared questions. Bringing these perspectives into conversation can sharpen those questions, strengthen research, and make research findings more useful.

Kellogg Foundation, developed a FREE online education program to educate business advisors about employee ownership business succession strategies, with a focus on instruction for selling the business to employees using an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).

Rutgers-Oxford Employee Ownership Research Conference: Papers

Many of the papers presented at the Fourth Annual Rutgers-Oxford Employee Ownership Research Conference are now available. Held this past August at Kellogg College at the University of Oxford, the conference brought together scholars and practitioners from 11 countries to present and discuss new theoretical and empirical research on employee share ownership and profit sharing.
