Tampa Bay Veterans to Benefit from $350,000 in State Funding for Employment Support 

CareerSource Tampa Bay received its first-ever $350,000 state appropriation for the Veterans Project for Job Recovery, sponsored by Senator Nick DiCeglie and Representative Berny Jacques. The initiative provides training, employment, and supportive services to veterans, transitioning service members, and eligible spouses, prioritizing those facing employment barriers and advancing career opportunities.

Soldering Training Program with Pathway to Jobs

CareerSource Tampa Bay is partnering with St. Petersburg College and Lockheed Martin to expand access to specialized training and career opportunities in aerospace manufacturing. Through this collaboration, eligible participants may receive funding assistance for training-related expenses, helping build a skilled local workforce and connecting talent with pathways to rewarding careers.

Career Success Workshops Coming to Pinellas County Following Unanimous School Board Approval

CareerSource Tampa Bay and Pinellas County Schools are expanding MyJourney Career Success Workshops to five alternative education sites, serving 11th and 12th-grade students. The workshops will help students explore careers, identify high-demand jobs, develop resumes, overcome employment barriers, and create personalized career plans for future success.

Bringing Employers and Job Seekers Together

CareerSource Tampa Bay’s CANDO (Caribbean American National Development Organization) Professional Mixer brought together 10 employers and 67 job seekers for an impactful networking event. The successful gathering fostered employer engagement, meaningful connections, and potential employment opportunities, strengthening community partnerships and helping connect local talent with employers seeking skilled candidates.
