Holidays Abound!

A Full Sanctuary.

New Partnership. Angel's Share. Northlight Illustrations. Comics for Critters. The Shack Gives Back. Giving Tuesday. A Dynamic Duo.

Ah, November. It's been a while. How are you?

We're so excited that the holidays are upon us. It brings a sense of peace to our sanctuary when the cold blusters in and cozy cuddles are on tap. With our sanctuary at full capacity, there are many cuddles to be had. If you're interested in adopting a dog, please check our link. Our seniors are waiting for the right family to scoop them up right in time for the holiday season.

We're so excited to announce a new partnership with Two Bitch Bourbon. Every purchase made through our affiliate link gives back to SDS. Please visit their website and support our cause. Christmas is on the horizon, and your family wants some delicious bourbon to celebrate!

Angel's Share is making us the recipient of their donation and retail raffles once again. Two links help you support SDS. You can enter to purchase a high-end bourbon or whiskey at retail price, or you can enter to win a donated bottle of quality bourbon or whiskey. Either way, 100% of the proceeds from the raffles support our cause to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome senior dogs!

Aurora Thomas, owner of Northlight Illustrations, is busy hand-crafting ornaments and portraits of your pets. Buy one of her beautiful creations to support our cause. She will donate 50% of the proceeds to us when the fundraiser ends on December 4th. Shop now to support the sanctuary!

Bring on the hilarity as award-winning comic Jonathan Yates and Outlaw Comedy founder Keenan Frady tell jokes to raise money for senior dogs. Their comedy show is Friday, December 4th at 7 PM, and 100% of the proceeds support SDS. $30 gets you in the door for a night of side-clutching laughs. You don't want to miss Comics for Critters!

Save the date for the Shack Gives Back on Saturday, December 5th at Fat Boys Crab Shack in Crofton. This annual event supports our senior dogs, and we are so excited to be a recipient again!

This year, Giving Tuesday runs all month in December! A generous board member has offered to match $15,000! We'll start our Giving Tuesday match on December 1st, so be on the lookout to donate to senior dogs!

Bonded brothers, Toby and JoJo, have received no interest. Find out more about this dynamic duo below, and let's get them adopted.

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram for more about our seniors and what's going on at the sanctuary!

Seniors 2 Seniors in Full Swing!

Our Seniors 2 Seniors pantry gives back twice a month to help senior citizens keep their pets. Every first and third Monday and Saturday of the month, Anne Arundel County senior citizens 55 and older are welcome to come to the sanctuary to get free pet food. The late Tommy Raskin worked to help both humans and animals, and it is an honor to continue a program like this in his name.

In addition, Seniors 2 Seniors partners with the Department of Aging and Waugh Chapel Animal Hospital to give back to seniors by providing free vaccine and microchip clinics. Our recent clinic was a major success thanks to Nicole and Waugh Chapel Animal Hospital. Despite losing the beloved Dr. Anderson recently, we know that he looks down with pride as we continue his legacy of caring for those less fortunate and their furry friends.

A Bonded Pair Worth Saving

Bonded brothers Toby and Jojo were rescued from an overcrowded shelter. Despite having a difficult life thus far, they continue to stand by each other's side, hoping for a fresh start together.

At 11, they are working on a slimmer physique to keep them healthy for the long term. Jojo seems to be the leader of the pair as he constantly searches for his brother. You'll usually find them within paw's distance of each other, but they also get along great with other dogs.

A true delight, this dynamic duo is looking for someone to call them "theirs." Please check out their profiles for more information and stop by the sanctuary to meet them. Finding a forever home in time for the holidays would be a dream come true!
