Greetings!
We welcome Bishop-Elect Schuster in his new role! I admit, I am a little late in this welcome, but it is none-the-less a hearty one. As a first year principal, I recall phoning a friend during one of my challenging times, and that friend was Bishop-Elect Frank’s dad, Jack Schuster who was principal at Kennedy Catholic for many years. Catholic education was/is so important to the Schuster family. I encourage you to read the article in the Northwest Catholic Magazine, as it gives you an insight into Bishop-Elect Frank’s personality – humorous, graciousness, and a servant for Jesus. Just ask Wanda, the principal at St. Vincent DePaul, where Bishop-Elect has been pastor for close to a year! He is so affirming and celebrates the goodness of our Catholic education. We welcome you Bishop!
We have planned our final meeting of the year for all principals and presidents, and it will be in person!
Archbishop Etienne is also inviting all pastors to the meeting.
Please register for the meeting here.
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, May 17th from 8:00 a.m.– 1:00 p.m. We will begin with Mass with Archbishop as the main celebrant, and then spend some time with Archbishop as he walks us through his discernment relative to the Covenant Taskforce recommendations. Time for prayer, connecting with colleagues, and celebrating an amazing year! Janeal will be sending out an invite within the next week.
As always, you remain in our prayers of great gratitude,
KRISTIN DIXON | Superintendent
Office for Catholic Schools | Archdiocese of Seattle
