Wildlife Overlook Is Progressing
BHA’s Board of Directors met with the architect and contractor rebuilding the Wildlife Overlook on Monday, June 14, 2021, to discuss the progress of the project. While it appears from the road that the project is nearly complete, there are still a number of important items that need to be installed — including signage, retaining walls, steel panels, vegetation and parking — before the Overlook can be opened to members, their guests and the public. It is crucial to remember that this is an active construction site and only authorized individuals should be on the grounds.
The project’s schedule has been frustratingly delayed this year by barge scheduling, materials shortages and the complexities of construction on BHI. BHA hopes to have the entire project wrapped up in time for the Labor Day weekend, barring any unforeseen challenges. (But, no promises!) Visit BHA’s website HERE for future status updates and photos.
