We Help Families Start Over

Hello New Life Warehouse Friends! Thank you for helping us serve over 90 families again for the fourth month in a row! We've had an incredible increase in need and we try very hard to serve every family in the best way possible. The increased demand taxes our supplies, so if you can encourage your family and friends to donate, we always need pots and pans, sheets and towels, small garbage cans, lamps and hygiene items. These donations help us make sure every family we serve has the basic necessities to help them start over.

We are now only three months away from our annual fundraiser, and tickets are now on sale! Mark your calendars - our Home for the Holidays Fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, November 6th at Soiree Estates in Lutz. See the article below for ticket sales and sponsorship opportunities.

Blessings and Blessed

Kelly King is a faithful NLW volunteer who has been on dozens and dozens of deliveries over the years. She shared this about a recent delivery in July:

"Recently, our team had the privilege of providing furniture to a single father preparing to raise his two baby twin daughters. What may have looked like cribs, changing tables, highchairs, other household essentials to some became something much greater—a foundation for a loving home and a fresh start for this family.

As we delivered and arranged each piece, we were reminded that ministry is often found in the simple acts of serving. Knowing these little girls will have comfortable beds to sleep in and a home where they can feel safe and loved was a blessing beyond words.

We often think we are the ones giving, but this experience reminded us that we receive so much in return. We left with grateful hearts, encouraged by the opportunity to be Jesus' hands and feet, and humbled by the trust placed in us to help meet this family's needs. Out of 4 years of deliveries, this one hit our hearts big-time. What began as delivering furniture became a beautiful reminder of God's faithfulness and provision.

Thank you to everyone who supports this ministry called New Life Warehouse. Because of your generosity, a father and his twin daughters now have more than furniture—they have hope, encouragement, and a home that is ready to welcome new memories.

Together, we continue to make a difference, one family at a time. To God be the glory for every life He allows us to touch."

Thank you Kelly, for serving so faithfully and lovingly.

Teen Tuesday Testimonials

The warehouse was as busy as a beehive this summer! We were packed to the gills with wonderful young people who were happy to help with a variety of tasks in the warehouse.

Evan Androff will be a freshman at Sickles High School, and he has been coming with his dad to make deliveries on Saturdays. He also volunteered in the warehouse on Tuesdays. He shared the following about his volunteer experiences:

"On Teen Tuesday, I have helped build furniture like cabinets, dressers, and beds. I have also done paintings and helped organize and clean the warehouse. On Saturdays, I go to the warehouse to help deliver the furniture for my assigned family. I help load the furniture into our vehicle, and deliver the furniture to our assigned family’s home. Once I get to the family’s home, I help move in and arrange the furniture to their liking. If needed, I also assemble the furniture. I enjoy doing this with my dad while helping these family’s in need. My favorite thing about volunteering at new life warehouse is seeing the impact of our work that we do when we give the furniture to the family’s. After we help them, they are very appreciative and it feels good knowing the difference we are making in there lives. Also, it is very fun to work with the other volunteers at New Life Warehouse because they are super friendly and are very helpful."

Sophia Nichol is a sophomore at Sickles High School. She shared the following as well:

"I enjoy volunteering at New Life because it feels good to help people and give back to my community. Being able to make a difference, even in a small way, is really rewarding. I also enjoy painting and building things because I like working on hands-on projects and being creative while learning new skills."

We are so grateful for all of the teens who came and served this summer. We can't wait to see you again next year!

Parternship Spotlight - Created Women.

undefined

NLW has had the pleasure of working closely with Created for many years now. Executive Director Lurlene Diaz was kind enough to tell us a little more about Created and how we work together:

Created's mission is "Created serves and empowers women affected by sex trafficking and exploitation, reclaiming their lives and restoring their value, dignity, and purpose through the redeeming love of Christ".

At the heart of Created is a deep commitment to sharing the love of Christ, walking alongside each woman with grace, truth, and the belief that God restores and makes all things new.

Created serves survivors of human trafficking through its outreach programs, including the Drop-In Center, Club and Street Outreach, and Jail Classes, as well as through its four safe houses. Every one of these efforts is centered on meeting women where they are and walking alongside them toward healing and restoration.

New Life Warehouse has been such a profound blessing to Created. By furnishing our safe houses, providing furnishings for graduates as they transition into independent housing, and helping with the pickup of items when furniture is replaced, you are directly impacting the lives of the women we serve.

It is so evident that New Life Warehouse is also rooted in a Christ-centered mission, serving others with compassion and generosity, and reflecting God's love in such tangible and meaningful ways.

The support NLW provides is something Created simply could not do on our own. You help create spaces that are not just furnished, but filled with dignity, beauty, and hope. These homes become places of healing, where women can begin to rebuild their lives and truly feel valued."

Thank you Lurlene and Created, for all you do for these women.

Volunteer Spotlight - Pat Clark

NLW is blessed to have Pat Clark as a special part of our family. She drives all the way up from Sarasota every week to serve in the warehouse! We asked her why she does this, and this is what she so kindly shared:

I have done volunteer work many times over the years, but in all of those cases it always involved working with children and teens. As an educator, my work days were also spent with children. Last year, when life provided me with free time and I was seeking a new way to volunteer, I considered a few options. My daughter is very involved in animal rescue work, so I thought about an animal shelter. Personally having watched children and families I worked with struggle with food insecurity, I considered volunteering at a food bank. But what remained in my thoughts and on my heart was an interview I had seen a several years prior with Stephanie on a Tampa news channel, about New Life Warehouse. I was immediately drawn to their mission to help families who had faced the greatest hardship I could imagine - losing their home - and being able to help them start again. I could not think of a better way to help someone than to assist in giving them a permanent home, a place of comfort after facing that situation, and a place for their family to be safe and together again.

Life circumstances did not allow me to volunteer when I first learned of New Life, but when life changed and I found myself with free time, I visited them one Saturday during their Open House.  I met volunteers, I heard about their mission and the families they served, and I signed up to start as a volunteer the next week. I am so happy to help serve our families. I believe God had His own timeline for me, and I was led by Him to serve His families at New Life exactly when I was supposed to."

Thank you Pat - We are so glad that you answered God's call to join our ministry.
