In 2008, RWU began campaigning for a single bargaining coalition of all rail labor in order to prevent the carriers from whipsawing one against the other, and to build union power at the bargaining table. Last Friday November 1st. ten rail unions announced the formation of the "Coordinated Bargaining Coalition." While there are many shortcoming (outlined below), RWU feels this is a progressive development for rail labor. We urge you to click on the button below to read our response and our critique. Then click on the button to sign the petition if you have yet to do so. Finally, if you agree that we need ONE bargaining coalition that includes ALL unions, please click on the button to contact your respective union officials and demand that all unions be part of the Coalition! All for one and one for all!
