Yesterday evening, May 25, 2023, PPOA Board Member Tony Romo, without prior notification to PPOA, suddenly resigned his Unit 612 board seat, effective May 26, 2023. You may have received an email: Subject: “Resignation of your elected labor representative” from Board Member Romo in which he made a number of allegations against PPOA.
PPOA has been a respected labor organization for 71 years and has been governed by some of the finest board members and presidents of any law enforcement association in the state. If any PPOA member has questions or concerns regarding Mr. Romo's allegations, you are welcome to contact me directly or attend the next PPOA Board of Directors meeting on June 14, 2023.
