We all need people with whom we can share life—people who know us, encourage us, and walk alongside us in faith. God has brought us into His family through Jesus Christ, and He gives us one another as companions in that life of faith. Our singles ministry at Faith is one way those connections can take root and grow.
At the heart of this ministry is the confidence that our identity is rooted in Christ. His love, forgiveness, and promises give shape and purpose to every season of life. Singleness, whether chosen or unexpected, is a place in which that identity can be lived out through meaningful relationships, service to others, and trust in God’s leading. There are gifts to share, neighbors to love, and opportunities to serve in the life God gives today.
The singles ministry provides a place to explore and live out that calling alongside others—to build friendships, find encouragement in God’s Word, and enjoy time together. It welcomes singles of all ages and stages from across our community. Membership at Faith is not required, and new faces are always welcome.
The next gathering, “Cooking with Natty B,” will take place Friday, November 6, at 6:00 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church. Chef Natalie will share delicious ideas perfect for fall and Thanksgiving during an evening of cooking and fellowship. The gathering will also include a devotion, with games available afterward for anyone who would like to stay longer. Those attending are asked to bring $10 and RSVP using the link below to help the organizers prepare.
I encourage anyone who is single and looking for connection and fellowship to consider attending—and to bring a friend. For the whole congregation, this is also an opportunity to extend an invitation. Think of a friend, neighbor, coworker, or family member who might appreciate this gathering, and pass this article along. A personal invitation can make it easier to take that first step into a new community.
Please join me in praying that God will bless this ministry, deepen friendships, and encourage all who gather in the belonging and purpose that are theirs in Christ.
