We Need 100 Trained Volunteers
On October 18th, there is a national call for "No Kings" rallies. The rallies are demonstrations and presentations in support of democracy, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. In June, this event drew thousands of people to the Capitol - - and MORE people are expected to attend at this second gathering on October 18th.
The organizers of this event state, "A core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. All participants are expected to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events."
Irrespective of political leanings, MPT is committed to keeping these legal expressions of free speech safe and free from violence. If you have taken our Violence De-escalation Skills training, we could really use your help.
