GBA Announces Young Professionals Committee

Get Your Rising Stars Engaged!

GBA is excited to officially announce the formation of our Young Professionals Committee (YPC)! The YPC will be hosting events and other initiatives that will:

  • develop and strengthen connections among young professionals within GBA member organizations, and
  • provide young professionals with leadership and professional development opportunities.

GBA considers the YPC’s efforts critical to the broader organization’s long-term growth and success. To that end, we appreciate your help and support in identifying individuals to join YPC initiatives.

If you are or know of a young professional who may be interested in attending the event and/or becoming involved in future initiatives, or are interested in sponsoring an upcoming YPC event, please email YPC co-chairs Brian Remler or Greg Horstmeier.

*Note: GBA broadly considers “young professionals” to include anyone under the age of 40 or within the first 10 years of their current career track.*

Upcoming YPC Events & Activities

The YPC expects to host its first event around late August, which will include light programming along with organized “speed networking.” This first event will be a great opportunity for young professionals within your organization to connect with the committee and situate themselves for deepening their involvement moving forward.

Future initiatives are anticipated to include:

  • panel events, lectures and Q&As from GBA leaders regarding their professional development and journey toward leadership,
  • student outreach opportunities,
  • a day of service,
  • and more!
