The Kiwanis Club of Nampa invites members of the public to attend the 48th annual Mayor’s Community Prayer Breakfast on May 1 at 7 a.m. at the Idaho Hispanic Community Center (315 Stampede Drive).


This year's special guest speaker is Dr. Grant Miller, who will be presenting “The Ties That Bind: A Prayerful Community in Action.” There will be a special performance by Nampa Christian High School choir Xairo.

Northside Boulevard, Yale Street and 7th Street has been identified as a high-crash corridor, with 268 crashes in the area between 2020 and 2024. The City of Nampa is studying the area to identify potential safety and mobility improvements. Your feedback will help shape the corridor's future. TRACTOR SUPPLY DONATES $20,000 TO YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS AT GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY FOR NEW DISTRIBUTION CENTER

This week, Tractor Supply Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for their new 865,000 square foot facility in Nampa. The facility represents an initial investment of approximately $225 million and is the 11th distribution center for the company.


"Tractor Supply is bringing more than 500 full-time, high-quality jobs to the region," according to their press release.


As a demonstration of their community support, Tractor Supply donated $20,000 to youth organizations: Ridgevue FFA and Canyon County 4-H chapters each received $10,000 to support their efforts around youth development and agricultural education.


The distribution center will be located at 9640 Ustick Road and is expected to open in late 2026 or early 2027. They will begin hiring for positions in the second quarter of 2026. To learn more, visit TractorSupply.careers.

DRUG TAKE BACK DAY WITH NAMPA POLICE

Please take advantage of the upcoming National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. The Nampa Police Department will be at the Neighborhood Walmart at Roosevelt and Middleton on Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot. This is a quick and easy way to get rid of unused prescriptions so they don’t get into the wrong hands. They are dangerous - often tragic.
