From the Desk of Pastor Steve

Greetings,

Happy Wednesday!

We have a lot of things happening here at Epworth!

This coming Sunday the confirmation class will be passing out our blessing bags to those in need in the fellowship hall! The kids packed the bags this past Sunday evening as one of their mission projects.

I have a new sermon series starting in November. See the information about sermon series further down in this newsletter!

This past Sunday, we baptized Tristan Watson! Tristan made the decision to be baptized by immersion so we arranged with First Christian Church to do the baptism there. It was a joyous time and we congratulate Tristan and his decision!

We will have All Saints Day coming up the first Sunday in November. We will be honoring all of the saints we lost over the past year during this special time!

That is all for now so have a blessed week and see you on Sunday!

Pastor Steve

Our Scripture Focus

Colossians 4: 2-6(NIV)

2 Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. 3 And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. 4 Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. 5 Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. 6 Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Boiler Room Prayer Group

Prayer is an essential part of our Christian lives. Many people pray in their cars, at home, before bed, after waking up....etc.

Epworth has a prayer group called the "Boiler Room" because prayer represents power just like a boiler does. The "Boiler Room" Prayer group is open to all and meets Sundays at 4pm in the Chapel. Come join us as we pray as a church for those in need of prayer! Want to make a prayer request? Use the button below!
