Nominations are Open for the 2026 Citizen of the Year!
The Batavia Citizen of the Year Award recognizes a local resident whose exceptional commitment and service have significantly enriched our community. The recipient will be the guest of honor at the Chamber’s annual Inspire Celebration on Thursday, April 29, 2027, at Revelry 675.
Award Criteria
- The nominee must reside in Batavia or Batavia Township, or have a business located within either community.
- The nominee must have assisted with an improvement or program of significant value to the community.
- The contribution must result from personal commitment and not primarily from the nominee’s employment or public responsibilities.
- The nominee may not currently serve on the Batavia Chamber’s Board of Directors.
- Chamber membership is not required.
- The nominee’s contributions to the community should be extraordinary in nature.

All nominations must be received by Monday, November 9, 2026. A committee of past recipients will review the submissions, and the 2026 Batavia Citizen of the Year will be announced in December.
