"Putting Your Best Foot Forward" Assembly

The PTO is eager to share some news about our upcoming assembly!

"Putting Your Best Food Forward"

With special guests Logan Marmino and Joy Suprano

An assembly that brings awareness to how we view and treat the special needs community. A chance to learn firsthand from a middle school amputee (Logan Marmino) how we can put our best foot forward regarding inclusion, awareness, and acceptance.

Bonus: this middle school amputee also happens to be an actor starring in a hit Apple+ TV show.

BEST FOOT FORWARD is a new Apple+ family-friendly TV comedy based on a true story and the book JUST DON'T FALL by Josh Sundquist. In addition to being named a "must watch" by People Magazine, BEST FOOT FORWARD is spreading awareness about the special needs community in front of and behind the camera. From Forbes magazine to the New York Times (and many news and talk shows in between), BEST FOOT FORWARD is bringing attention to the special needs community and helping to shed light on inclusion and representation.

Let's get the KRS kids excited about this exclusive Hollywood assembly. This New York Times article and Apple+ behind the scenes footage best describes the show's goal. Check out BEST FOOT FORWARD now streaming on Apple+. You can get a free seven-day trial and binge the entire family-friendly season before our October 3rd assembly.

A little about our special guests

Logan Marmimo is the star of BEST FOOT FORWARD. He is an outstanding 7th grader who loves swimming, surfing, playing baseball, and running races... and he also happens to only have one leg. Logan is an ambassador for CAF (the Challenged Athletes Foundation) and started doing public speaking, appearances, and assemblies as a 2nd grader for this organization and his social awareness causes.

Joy Suprano is not only one of the leads of BEST FOOT FORWARD on Apple+, but she lives right here in Madison and is a KRS mama. When she isn't volunteering at KRS, she is busy promoting the show and its positive message. Joy believes the show is genuinely inspiring and informative regarding teaching her son about inclusion.

Some sharable clips

Feel free to share some of these clips and stories to get the kids talking about the importance of inclusion in our special needs community.
