Happy Spring! As we jump into warmer weather, we've got plenty of news and many exciting projects on the horizon.

In our Cheshire on the Road section, we feature work we did at the Weston Dallas Stonebriar and at the Albany Capital Center.

In what is becoming an annual event that we look forward to, we welcomed 14 students from FLCC to our offices to introduce them to the world of live events. It's surprising how many students who focus on media studies have never thought about a career in AV and live events.

Incidentally, we are currently seeking experienced AV professionals, so if you know someone with the qualifications and interests listed below, please pass the listing on to them or apply with us by sending an email and resume to Jamie Cheshire.

Next, we recognize industry colleague Alicia Gazda who has kicked off a career move in a sports-minded direction.

And finally, we invite you to join us for ESSAE's 46th Annual Conference & Trade Show in June!

As always, we’re here to help with your next event. Simply contact Justin at 585-325-4250 or Justin@CheshireAV.com for a free consultation. We’d love to assist with your event needs!

On the Road with Cheshire

ACEC Winter Conference

This past February, we had the privilege of supporting the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York's (ACEC New York) Winter Conference 2025 at the Albany Capital Center.

As a cornerstone event in the industry, this annual conference brings together approximately 500 engineering professionals and exhibitors for insightful general sessions and specialized breakout tracks tailored to CFOs, business managers, emerging leaders, and HR professionals.

Beyond handling onsite AV support, Cheshire provided projection screens, a stage set, and LED uplighting.

We always appreciate the opportunity to partner with ACEC New York and are grateful for their 2025 "update" review on Google:

"Cheshire continues to be our preferred AV vendor for our conferences, including our recent 500-person Winter Conference. Their on-site teams are always highly skilled and a pleasure to work with. They made recommendations for the stage setup of a panel discussion that made it really stand out. We appreciate their attention to detail and drive to make our jobs easier while running a conference. Being able to fully trust the Cheshire team to deliver an outstanding result brings us all a great peace of mind. Thank you to our on-site team, Josh, Max and Tristan, as well as our account manager, Chuck! We look forward to continuing our work with Cheshire!"

One of our valued collaborators on this event was Jennifer Waterbury, shown above. We are thrilled to congratulate her on receiving the 2024 Communications/Public Relations Award from the Empire State Society of Association Executives, IncThis well-earned recognition is a testament to her dedication and expertise. Congratulations, Jen!

QuidelOrtho at the Weston Dallas Stonebriar

The Weston Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa hosted QuidelOrtho's 2025 Field Service Meeting, bringing employees together to network, exchange best practices, gain insights, and celebrate the company’s achievements.

QuidelOrtho is a leader in diagnostic innovation, specializing in testing, tracking, and disease analysis across a wide range of health conditions. Its advanced products and services play a vital role in empowering clinicians and lab technicians, enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and patient care.

Beyond providing onsite support and equipment, this event marked one of the first showcases of Cheshire’s new curvable LED tiles to create a stage skirt. These dynamic displays created an immersive stage wrap, enhancing QuidelOrtho’s branding and messaging.

Cheshire AV Hosts FLCC's Sound/Live Recording Class

In an ongoing partnership with Finger Lakes Community College, we welcomed students from Bob Potter’s Sound Reinforcement/Live Recording Class to our offices on February 26 for a look into the world of live event production that was tailored to their career interests.

This visit provided students with a firsthand introduction to the range of career possibilities within the AV industry by Cheshire's staff. By exposing them to different facets of the field and facilitating connections with team members, Cheshire aims not only to inspire and support this next generation of AV professionals, but also to contribute to strengthening the audio-visual industry.
