Office Administrative Assistant Substitute
Throughout the school year, there will be times when our wonderful administrative assistant, Katie Caccavari, needs to be away from the office. We would love to have a small group of parents trained and ready to step in when substitute coverage is needed!
Our main school office is a busy place, and this role is an important part of keeping our school day running smoothly. We are looking for a few parents who would be interested in learning the responsibilities of the position and being available to help on an as-needed basis.
If you are interested in learning more or being trained as a substitute, please contact Katie directly- kcaccavari@gaschool.org. We would greatly appreciate having a few familiar faces ready to lend a hand when needed!

Parent-Teacher Conferences Grades K-5
Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place on November 11 and 12 for our kindergarten through 5th grade students.
4thand 5th Grade:
Parent-Teacher Conferences will look a little different this year as we work to make conferences as meaningful and collaborative as possible for our families. We will begin by reaching out to families we would like to meet with for a team conference, allowing the appropriate members of the student’s educational team to be present and work together to support each child.
Once these conferences have been scheduled, we will open any remaining conference times to families who would like to request a meeting with their child’s teachers. We appreciate your flexibility as we make this adjustment and look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s continued growth and success.
If you have not received an invitation to meet, please know that this is intentional. It means your child is currently meeting classroom academic standards and expectations and is demonstrating appropriate behavior and social growth. However, if you’d like to meet, we still love to chat with you. Our goal is to be respectful of your time while still making sure families have an opportunity to connect with teachers whenever there is a question, concern, or topic they would like to discuss. At this time, if there is something you would like to discuss with your child’s teachers, please complete this form Parent Teacher Conferences Request Form Grades 4 and 5 – Fill out form for a conference time.
Kindergarten through 3rd Grade
Teachers will meet with all families. Please schedule your conference time here.

Park Lot Procedure Reminders
Our procedures for Morning Car Line and Afternoon Pick Up are important to adhere to so that our students, teachers, staff, and parents are safe, as well as car line and dismissal remain efficient. Please see the reminders below.
- The use of Bill Lutmer Wy, between the Church and the Rectory, for drop off in the morning is prohibited. It creates a condition where those who do so interfere with the egress of those who have dropped off students via carline.
- Using the McNicholas campus as a cut-through to avoid the left turn onto Brachman Avenue is unacceptable. Discontinue this practice so that we maintain a positive relationship with our neighboring school.
- Only school bus traffic is allowed to access the drive coming up the hill behind the PC gym. An open lower gate is not an indication nor an invitation to GA families to utilize that as an access point for the upper lot or for egress. Also, families are not to open a secure gate to allow themselves to pass.
- Aftercare has had several instances of vehicles cutting through by moving cones meant to cordon off playground space and provide a buffer for students who need to reenter the school building. (Please include the 523KB jpg of the white SUV driving through the cones, with the cones visible in the picture. Mark has authorized its inclusion).
These rules apply to our families as well as our staff. They exist to manage risk for all who come onto our campus throughout the day. Thank you for your cooperation so that our procedures run smoothly and everyone remains safe.

Synod 2027
As we prepare for the excitement and busyness of the 2026-2027 school year, we wanted to make sure you knew about a unique opportunity this fall to contribute to the direction of our school, and our wider Catholic community—Synod 2027.
A Synod is a prayerful process in which the faithful share personal reflections on how they encounter Christ in the local Church. Then, Church leadership, in our case Archbishop Robert Casey, prayerfully considers those reflections to determine how God is speaking through His people. The Synod is not a vote and will not change any Church doctrine or dogma. It is a determination of the archdiocese’s top pastoral priorities. The outcome could impact school communities, so we encourage as many people participating as possible. Your main opportunity to participate is by signing up and attending a Conversations in the Spirit session, followed by participating in an online survey called the Disciple Maker Index.
For more information, click here.

Guardian Angels Prayer Partner Program
The Guardian Angels Prayer Partner program was set up as part of the preparation for First Communion. Each second grade child is paired with an adult from our parish and they are asked to pray for each other throughout the year. It is not a huge time commitment. We try to get together 3-4 times throughout the school year to meet each other and go to mass with each other. During the times they are not together they are asked to pray for each other.
If you are interested in being part of this wonderful program, you will need to complete the Safe Environment Training Program. Please see the information below from our Safe Environment Coordinator, Mrs. Joan Schoenhoeft.
In accordance with the Archdiocese of Cincinnati’s Decree on Child Protection, any adult (18+) who volunteers in a capacity that involves contact with youth must meet specific safe environment requirements before they can begin volunteering.
To become eligible, all volunteers must complete the following steps:
- Register for SafeParish
- Complete the Online Background Check
- Complete the Child Protection Training Bulletin
- Acknowledge Decree
To maintain good standing, you will also be required to complete short (5 minutes), ongoing quarterly training bulletins sent via email.
We are so blessed to have wonderful volunteers at G.A. and it is our great desire that you will continue as a prayer partner for our youth.
If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to me at Jschoenhoeft@gaparish.org, or 513-624-2195, and I will be happy to send you detailed instructions on how to complete the above requirements.

Children's Choir
The GA School Children’s Choir is open the students in grades 4-8. The choir primarily sings the Tuesday 8:15 School Mass with selected monthly weekend Masses. This ministry is open year round. There is no deadline to enroll, as we know ability to participate may be dependent upon extracurricular and sports schedules. However, if your child has interest in joining later in the year, please email Matt Spencer, Associate Director of Worship at matts@sggparish.org and give him a head up if you plan to enroll later. This will help with planning repertoire and potentially participating in the regional Pueri Cantores Children’s Choir Festival in February.

Greeters and Gift Bearers Needed
