Project Update: Collins Canal Water Main Improvements

Notice Date: Monday, September 21, 2026

What's Happening?

Construction activities are ongoing along the project corridor. Crews are currently connecting newly installed water pipelines to the existing system, which will require a temporary water service shutdown.

Please note that properties will not be affected by the two scheduled water shutoffs listed below. While the shutdowns are planned for daytime hours, some work may extend beyond regular construction times. The contractor will not impact water service during these extended hours and will keep any disruptions to a minimum.

A portion of Dade Boulevard will remain closed through September 25 and 23 Street will have a separate closure from September 24 to October 2 to complete these operations. Please use caution in the area and follow all posted detours.

The issuance of a boil water notice is a standard public health precaution whenever the water distribution system experiences a loss of pressure or is temporarily shut down.

If a Precautionary Boil Water Notice becomes necessary, affected residents will be notified promptly and provided with instructions regarding the advisory and when it has been lifted.
