Joseph in Four Movements | Selected Passages from Genesis 37, 39-50
This week, we are studying certain pieces in the story of Joseph, who is one of the most famous characters in the Old Testament. It’s a long and complicated narration, so I encourage you to read all 12 chapters as a way of refreshing your memory. It’s quite a good tale with a lot for us to reflect upon! On Sunday, we will look at four scenes from his life which portray faithfulness in God despite temptation and unbelievable hardship.
I am grateful for Pastor Danielle’s honest rendering of the Abraham/Isaac story and how it has stirred important musings and discussion. The Bible has been recorded for us so we will know who God is and how He enables us to walk in faith with Him.
This Sunday, may we come with open hearts and minds to worship our Lord and King!
Pastor Colleen
“Faith is a free surrender and a joyous wager on the unseen, unknown,
untested goodness of God.”
Martin Luther
“Faith is the gift of God. So is the air, but you have to breathe it; so is bread, but you have to eat it; so is water, but you have to drink it.”
D.L. Moody
“Telling the truth is an act of love, an act of resistance, an act of courage. Its end is liberation, freedom, and if possible, reconciliation. But there can be no reconciliation without truth.”
Jacqui Lewis
