Dear Friends of Next Step Recovery,

As the holidays approach, we find ourselves reflecting on this year’s challenges and triumphs. Hurricane Helene presented the city of Asheville with an immense challenge, but like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Asheville is fully back up and thriving!

Power, cell service, clean water, groceries, and gas have all been restored, and our resilient community is on the right track. However, much like our patients, Next Step still has a long road to recovery ahead in order to secure the consistent resources needed to provide critical support to those on their journey to healing.

This holiday season, we’re asking for your help to keep the momentum going and bring hope to those who need it most. Instead of material holiday gifts whose meaning may fade with time, consider making a donation to Next Step Recovery in honor of someone special, or in memory of a loved one. Your gift will help support the recovery journey of someone in need this holiday season—offering them the opportunity to rebuild and thrive.

Your past kindness and generosity have made it possible for us to continue serving our clients, even during the most challenging of times. This holiday season, we invite you to join us in empowering even more individuals on their path to recovery.

From all of us at Next Step Recovery, thank you for being a vital part of our story this year. You’ve helped us rebuild, thrive, and continue to provide hope to so many. We look forward to having you as part of our journey in the year ahead.

Would you like to learn more about how we support individuals on their recovery journey? This holiday season, we warmly invite you to reach out for advice or information. Call us at 828-761-0722 or email Susan at susan@nextsteprecovery.com—we’re here to help and would love to hear from you. Let’s make this season one of hope and renewal together.

Wishing you a joyful holiday season filled with love,

Susan Stader, MS, LCMHC, LCAS, CCS

THE SEASON OF GIVING

Holiday Toy Drive: Bringing Joy to Children in Need

This season of giving is the perfect time to give back and make a difference. Whether it’s through participating in our Holiday Toy Drive or making a donation to Next Step Recovery, your generosity is the best gift you can give.

This year, we’re teaming up with WNC programs to host a Holiday Toy Drive at 362 Depot St. in Asheville on December 17th.

We’re collecting new, unwrapped toys to bring smiles to local children facing tough times.

Your generosity will brighten the holidays for children in need. Please join us at this holiday gathering!

How You Can Help:

  1. Donate Toys: Drop off your new, unwrapped toys at 362 Depot St. by December 17th.
  2. Spread the Word: Share the Toy Drive with friends, family, and on social media using hashtags like #ToyDrive, #AshevilleCares, and #SpreadJoy.

I'm feeling generous this holiday season! ➡️
