Children 6^th grade and younger leave the 10:00 am worship service after the scripture reading and are led down the hallway to Classroom 6. Parents and other adults from our congregation lead the group in music, Bible reading, a fun video and crafts and activities based on the day’s scripture reading. Parents/caregivers pick their children up at the conclusion of the worship service. Kids Connection meets each 2^nd and 4^th Sunday of the month.

Adult Discussion Group

On Sunday the Adult Discussion Group will resume its weekly sessions at 11:15am in the Asbury Room. We begin this year with a presentation about the Apostle Paul and his letters to the Corinthians. Our presenter will be Professor Stephen Moore, professor of New Testament Studies at Drew University. This will be offered via Zoom only, and please contact Ron Yarger at ryarger01@gmail.com if you wish to join the discussion.

Sunday, November 1, 2026, will be our All Saints Day Special Service at 10:00 a.m.

This is an ancient Christian tradition in which we remember loved ones who have completed their course in faith and now live in the heavenly realm. During the service, we will light candles in their memory, speak their names, toll the bell, and give thanks to God for their lives and their homecoming into Eternal Life.

Beginning this weekend, a list of names will be located outside the Church Sanctuary. We invite you to add the names of loved ones who are not yet on the list.

The list will remain outside the Sanctuary through Sunday, October 25. If you would like to add a loved one to the list but are unable to come to the Sanctuary, please call the Church office at (973) 635-7740 or email csmith@chathamumc.org.

If you have friends or neighbors who have lost loved ones in the past year, please invite them to contact us with the names, and invite them to worship with us on November 1, 2026. All people are welcome here.
