New Petras Locker Room Elevates TU's Softball Program

On Saturday, we were proud to celebrate a major milestone for Tiffin University Athletics with the official ribbon cutting for the new Bobby and Brandie Petras Locker Room—a state-of-the-art facility supporting one of the nation’s top NCAA Division II softball programs.

Built by Clouse Construction Corp., the new addition features a modern locker room, laundry area, viewing space, and program offices—all designed to enhance the student-athlete experience and support long-term success.

This investment comes at a time of historic momentum for the Tiffin University softball team, which recently climbed to 22nd in the nation in the NFCA Division II Coaches Poll—their highest ranking in 14 years. With a 30-10 record, the Dragons lead the G-MAC in pitching, home runs, RBIs, and team batting average. Nationally, they rank in the top five for shutouts and are among the leaders in ERA and strikeouts.

Congratulations to Tiffin University on this exciting achievement and continued athletic excellence. Go Dragons!

Congratulations to Bou’jee on a Budget on celebrating their one-year anniversary this past Sunday! Located in Downtown Fostoria at 110 E North St, Bou’jee has grown and evolved over the past year, continuing to serve the community with creativity, heart, and style.

The celebration was filled with fun, games, prizes, and reflections on an exciting first year in business.
