Tree Stakes

It is time to remove tree stakes.

This means your trees are over 1 year old, stakes need to be removed and disposed of properly.

Keeping tree stakes longer does not allow the tree's root system to strengthen. The tree must be able to move with the wind. It also strangles the tree.

If your tree is leaning, it needs intervention. Please contact an arborist to find out your options. Local nurseries often have available staff to speak with about the health and care of your trees.

*Townhomes, your trees are less than a year old. Please leave your stakes until next year.

Mark your calendar: April 22nd is Earth Day! Sunscape Landscape will host a landscape seminar to provide important information on lawn care.

Landscaping Tips

Important Updates

Quick FYIs

  • Holiday Lights and decor should be removed by now. Compliance notices are being sent. Please remove all decor this weekend.
  • The office will be closed most of Tuesday, February 11th. Management will be onsite, so if there is an urgent matter, please call.

Winter Weather Tips

  • Freezing Weather: Winter has arrived. Please be mindful of hard freezes and your pipes. Freezes typically happen in January and February. Cover your outside hose bib(s), drip your faucets, open cabinet doors, set your heat to no lower than 55 degrees. Dishwashers on exterior walls should not be used during or immediately after periods of extreme cold. And of course, remember the other 2 Ps (pets and plants).
  • HVAC inspections: It is always a good idea to have your HVAC systems checked yearly. When you first turn your heater on for the season, there is often a foul smell. This is usually debris/dust that has settled on the heating elements. That is why it is important to have an inspection completed.
  • Chimney Inspections: Soot can build up if you are using real wood. Please have your chimney inspected and cleaned before you light your first fire.
  • Condos: E-8 In your Community Manual states from November 1st through March 25th, units may not be left unheated. Water lines on exterior walls should be allowed to drip during freezing weather.
