GOOD NEWS
from our CSMSG Anchor Laurie Brown!

Luke 2:10 “Do not be afraid. I bring you Good News of great joy that will be for all the people. ....a Savior has been born to you: he is Christ the Lord.”

Good afternoon parishioners of The Church of St. Michael & St. George! Welcome back to SGN! I'm Laurie Brown here with Some Good News!

Who is ready for Opening Day at CSMSG? Yes, that’s right! We are going to open for in- person worship this Sunday, June 21st!!!

Click here to make a reservation for the 8 AM, 10 AM or 5 PM worship service. Please arrive early.

Below is video of what to expect this Sunday. The ushers and greeters will be there to help make sure we all remain safe. Please listen to their instructions.
Proverbs 15:30 “A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and Some Good News gives health to the bones. ”

Although we are making changes, some things will remain the same:

The 10 AM service will continue to be available online on our website.
And now for the weather. Here is The Rev. John Kilgore with a forecast for the Rappahannock Mountains of Virginia.
John Kilgore, the cycling priest! Thanks John!

We continue to collect food for the Last Days Apostolic church community which serves 300 families. Your donations are stored in the Melvin Theater. Every two weeks, Rosetta Jackson, her family and volunteers box up groceries and cleaning supplies. People line up around the block. The National Guard helps facilitate the families in picking up the boxed donations. Every family goes home with a box of food and a bag of cleaning supplies. Here are some photos of what Rosetta has created.
Every item you see in the photos will be given out this week. Restocking starts this Sunday. The need is great. Your donations are appreciated! You may drop off your donations at church on Sunday during service hours. Here is a link to the donation list
CSMSG continues to work towards understanding racism! Take a look at this wonderful story Channel 9 Producer and parishioner Ruth Ezell created about the peaceful demonstration held on Wydown Blvd. June 8th.

So remember no matter how bad it may seem, the Holy Spirit is at work here. There is always Some Good News, especially at CSMSG! Amen!

Mark 16:15 “He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to all creation.”

Signing off until next time!
