The Feast of All Saints': Book of Remembrance

This Sunday

The Feast of All Saints' is a time when the Church remembers not just the faithful of previous eras, but all souls who now find themselves in the glory & peace of heaven. This year, there will be an opportunity to remember & honor not just parishioners who have died over the course of the last church year, but also friends and family members outside of the parish that we've lost since the last All Saints'. There will be a Book of Remembrance set out in the Narthex next the Easter Candle this coming Sunday, symbolizing the new life promised to us by Christ. Names printed in the book will be read aloud as a part of the parish's celebration of All Saints' on Sunday, November 1.

Friendsgiving

Sunday, November 15 | 4-6 p.m.

Fall is upon us! As the holiday season begins to pick up, let’s take a moment to slow down and appreciate the people who make life special. We’re thrilled to announce our 3rd Annual Friendsgiving Meal! 🍁 Join us on November 15th, from 4-6 p.m., for a heartwarming gathering with friends, food, and gratitude.

If you're interested in volunteering or bringing a dish to share, stay tuned for more information. Let’s make this Friendsgiving a celebration to remember!

ESC’s financial commitment/pledge campaign for 2027 will begin this Sunday, October 25, with our first Ingathering of pledges scheduled for Sunday, November 22. Our theme for the year is God’s Kingdom Come, and we ask that you prayerfully consider your 2027 financial giving to ESC. We have an aggressive goal, with the hope to hire an additional staff position to address our critical need for youth and young adult ministries. We need every parishioner to participate and hopefully expand their pledge so that we can fund this new position and cover the rest of the parish’s ongoing ministerial and material needs.

Parishioner should receive a giving/pledge card in the mail with a letter from Fr. Shawn. You may put your completed card in the offering plate at church, mail your card to the church office (2020 Laskin Rd, VB, VA 23454) or simply share your financial commitment confidentially through our on-line giving portal. If you have any questions or problems, please contact ESC's Finance Administrator, Bob Suter.

Hallway Renovation Project Update!

Thanks to several very generous donations, over $15,000 has already been raised toward the renovation of the concrete block hallways in our parish office complex! As our church continues to grow and interact with more and more people from our community, this space is often the first thing that visitors see. Help us to push this project across the finish line with your tax deductible donation to Eastern Shore Chapel, memo line "Hallway Project"!
