From Your Administrative Team
Greetings Families,

Happy Spring! If you or your family celebrated the Jewish holiday of Purim or Holi, the Hindu Festival of Colors, we wish you many happy celebrations! You can explore a list of children's books about Purim HERE and can learn more about Holi HERE. If your family celebrates these or any other cultural holiday and would like to share photos/videos/more information about how your family celebrates, let us know!

We also want to share that our new campus has brought us a new species of butterfly to learn about and admire! You may have heard that in recent weeks, our campus has been crawling with caterpillars! It's true--our trees are home and food for the Morning Cloak caterpillar, and hundreds have made their chrysalis on our campus! You can learn more about the Morning Cloak butterfly here! Enjoy a few photos of our new winged friends below.

Finally, one of our favorite aspects of independent study is the wide variety of opportunities available to our families in the community! One of these opportunities is called Odyssey of the Mind, which is a creative problem-solving program where teams work together to solve a long-term problem and build spontaneous language and engineering skills while building teamwork, budgeting, time management, and public speaking skills. Congratulations to ALL 3 of our Da Vinci Connect Odyssey of the Mind teams for placing in the TOP 3 at the regional competition in their divisions, and advancing on to the state competition in April!

Take Good Care,
Kaitlin and Tami
