Fall Quarter Stewardship Saturday Schedule is Here!🍂

Exciting New Visitor at Anisq'Oyo Park!

Anisq’Oyo’ Park has welcomed a very special guest... a baby Yellow-Crowned Night Heron! These striking birds are rare to spot in our town, making this little one’s appearance an exciting event for Isla Vista. Known for their bright yellow crown and striking red eyes as adults, Yellow-Crowned Night Herons are typically found along coastal wetlands.

Catching a glimpse of this young heron reminds us of how important our parks are as safe spaces for wildlife. Keep your eyes open on your next stroll in Anisq'Oyo Park and you just might be able to spot him!

GVL Bookvan September Schedule

The Goleta Valley Library’s Bookvan brings library services directly to Isla Vista, with weekday stops throughout the community. Stocked with books, craft kits, and more, the van also offers free Wi-Fi and on-the-spot library cards. Patrons can browse materials on board or access over a million digital items through the Goleta Valley Library e-Library.
