Area Roadwork & Closures

Township Roads

• Andrien Road: The work to repair the concrete end-wall on Andrien Road is anticipated to begin on or around Thursday, August 15. The project is expected to last approximately two weeks. The road will remain open during work. Please email office@concordtownship.org with any questions or concerns.
• Schoolhouse Lane: Following PennDOT's recent inspection of work to construct a deceleration lane on Baltimore Pike at Schoolhouse Lane, there are still some final punch list items that must be addressed prior to lifting the Schoolhouse Lane detour. Thank you for your patience as these final items are addressed. Once the road is opened, it will be communicated.

State Roads

• Bethel Road (between Smithbridge Road & Featherbed Road) - will have a closure and detour on August 19 - August 30, 9AM - 3PM, for PennDOT storm water infrastructure repairs;
• Glen Mills Road/Westown Road (between Cheyney Road & Dilworthtown Road) - will be closed weekdays August 19 through August 23, 9AM-3PM, for base repair. During the closure, motorists are directed to use Cheyney Road, Creek Road, and Dilworthtown Road;
• Naamans Creek Road/Route 491 (in Bethel Twp. between Garnet Mine Rd & Marian Dr) will have lane closure on August 20 - September 20, 9AM-3PM, for gas line installation.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through work areas because backups and delays may occur. All work is weather dependent. Drive Safely!

Potholes

• To report a pothole or an issue regarding a State Road, call 1-800-FIX-ROAD or submit a concern online via PennDOT's Customer Care Center.
• To report a pothole or an issue regarding a Concord Township Road, call 610-459-8911 or email office@concordtownship.org.

Manhole Rehabilitation Project

Concord Township Sewer Department will be doing a manhole rehabilitation project which is anticipated to begin August 19th. The project involves a contractor working within the public rights-of-way and sewer easements. The project includes cleaning and application of a specialized coating to the inside of manholes to help protect and extend the life of the sewer system.

Project work will take place between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM and each manhole should only take a few hours to complete. There will be road access at all times. The project should be completed within several weeks.

Darlington Arts Center & Concord Township will team up again this year to present the Fall Into The Arts Festival. This year's event will be held on Saturday, September 21st, from 12PM to 3PM - and the search is on for local art vendors that would like to participate in the event. Are you interested? May 13 - September 6

Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Fridays, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Township offices will be closed on September 2nd – Labor Day.
