Sea Pines CSA Community Update

North Sea Pines Drive Infrastructure Improvement Project

Sea Pines CSA's contractor began setting up for well point operations from Oyster Catcher to Duck Hawk as well as from Laughing Gull towards Catbird Lane today, January 13th. Drainage pipe installation will begin on these sections of the roadway Tuesday, January 18th, weather permitting.

Sandhill Crane Road & Catbird Lane Drainage Work

  • Drainage work in proximity to Sandhill Crane Road and Night Heron Villas is in progress. The leisure trail remains closed.
  • Drainage pipe installation on Catbird Lane is in progress and will continue through the end of this week. (Pictured below)
General Project Reminders

  • Heavy traffic delays should be expected on North Sea Pines Drive as crews will utilize single-lane closures along this roadway to accommodate the work. Traffic control will be in place, obey the speed limit within the construction zone.
  • The leisure trail along North Sea Pines Drive from The Sea Pines Beach Club to Lawton Drive is closed to bike and pedestrian traffic. Please refer to the Leisure Trail detour map here for more information. 
  • The Beachwalks located at #39 & #40 are not currently accessible from North Sea Pines Drive due to this project.
  • Sea Pines CSA will continue to keep the community updated throughout this project through our community emails and our website at www.seapinesliving.com/seapinesdrive.
Stormwater Repairs and Maintenance:

  • A catch basin repair is in progress on Sandfiddler Road. Once completed, repairs will begin on a stormwater pipe near 24 Marsh View Drive. Next week stormwater pipe repair will begin on Red Cardinal Road.

  • Line jetting of stormwater pipes will begin the week of January 17th in the area of Old Military Road and Baynard Cove Road.

An Important Safety Message: See Something, Say Something
Sea Pines Security received recent reports of car break-ins from various areas.

Remove the opportunity for theft by securing your vehicles:

  • Lock your doors and roll up your windows.
  • Remove personal belongings from plain view or take them with you when leaving vehicles unattended.
 
When you see something that looks out of place, please report it to our security department promptly by calling 843.671.7170. The sooner we get the information, the quicker we can assist. Thank you for your assistance in helping to keep our community safe.
Leisure Trail Safety Reminders

  • Motorized vehicles (this includes electric and pedal-assist bikes and scooters) are not permitted in Sea Pines. Power-driven mobility devices are permitted for ADA use in the community.

  • While using the leisure trails, be aware of vehicles. They are not required to stop while you are waiting to cross a roadway.

The Sea Pines Forest Preserve is one of the most significant amenities available to our property owners and guests in our community. The Sea Pines Forest Preserve Foundation is responsible for the management and oversight of the Sea Pines Forest Preserve.

The Sea Pines Forest Preserve Foundation Advisory Board consists of Sea Pines property owners that provide advice on matters concerning and expanding on the use, maintenance and potential improvements to the Sea Pines Forest Preserve. If you are interested in serving on The Sea Pines Forest Preserve Foundation Advisory Board, you may apply by completing an application which can be found here.
