America’s Most Notorious Billionaire Leaves His Mark on the World from a $2.3 Billion Education Behemoth to Racial Politics

Billionaire George Soros said he is working to “bend” the arc of history “in the right direction.” In Soros’ case, that direction is far to the left. To do it, he donated over $32 billion to his Open Society Foundations since 1984, to further leftist ideology and activism well beyond his own lifetime. Soros has committed a combined sum of more than $2.3 billion to create a global university network to push his extreme ideology.

At 91, Soros hasn’t slowed down his radical agenda to inundate the American people — and the world — with propaganda involving leftist academia and racial strife. He recently launched a $1 billion initiative to create a “global university” network to indoctrinate the next generation with his extremist “open society” worldview.

The two educational institutions spearheading that effort — Central European University and Bard College — received another $1.3 billion from Soros.

He also devoted hundreds of millions in donations and commitments to so-called social justice and racial justice groups, including those that promote the radical idea of “reparations.”

Soros pursued those aims with everything from exploiting the death of George Floyd in 2020 to advance a leftist racial justice agenda, pledging $100 million to support radical feminism across the globe, pouring millions into left-wing journalism and financing groups promoting global climate-change radicalism and anti-police hatred.

His tremendous wealth gives him the ability to try to influence every aspect of American life — from political campaigns to drug policy. Instead of letting the foundations shut down upon his death, he guaranteed conservatives will be fighting his agenda for decades to come

Under Biden’s Title IX Changes, Wisconsin’s ‘Sexual Harassment’ Circus Over Trans Pronouns Would Ensnare Students In Every State

This is exactly the kind of routine hostility we can expect for students all over the country if Biden successfully writes ‘sexual orientation’ and ‘gender identity’ into the meaning of ‘sex’ in education.

Braden Rabidoux had no idea how his life was about to change when his mother got a call from his school principal. Braden, an eighth-grader in Wisconsin’s Kiel Area School District, was the subject of a sexual harassment complaint and investigation, the principal told her.

“I was like, ‘What? Sexual harassment? What are you talking about?'” Braden’s mom, Rose Rabidoux, recalled to The Federalist. “Because when I think of sexual harassment, I think of rape. I think of inappropriate touching.”

Radical Gender Ideology Is Still Spreading in Schools

Next fall, New Jersey public school students returning to school will receive lessons on transgenderism and gender identity. Under the new sex education guidelines, which go into effect in September, children as young as six will take classes titled “Pink, Blue, and Purple.” As part of the gender expansive programming, teachers can inform students that their gender is entirely up to them and may differ from the one assigned to them at birth. The K-12 curriculum also coaches teachers to tell students, “You might feel like you’re a boy even if you have body parts that some people might tell you are ‘girl’ parts.” With nearly half of kindergarten and first grade students failing to meet basic reading standards, states like New Jersey are spending critical instructional time on social and emotional learning (SEL) and on incorporating additional classes on gender identity.

Remote Learning Was Worse for Kids Than We Thought

A Harvard study was recently published demonstrating the academic losses that students underwent as a result of the remote learning phenomenon.

Sadly, this writer has been vindicated. As a former teacher, what I observed in the classroom after children were permitted to come back to in-person learning has been studied. The results are even more pernicious than what I saw considering that the school in which I worked facilitated in-person learning a full year before the teacher unions loosened their grip and the CDC “deemed” it safe.

“In districts that went remote, achievement growth was lower for all subgroups, but especially for students attending high-poverty schools,” the study found. “In areas that remained in person, there were still modest losses in achievement, but there was no widening of gaps between high and low-poverty schools in math (and less widening in reading).” Translation: Remote learning hurt all students regardless of race, poverty level, or previous academic ability.

This was a predictable outcome because of the nature of remote learning. One educational theory many teachers use developed by Howard Gardner posits that people have “multiple intelligences” or specific ways that they learn. According to this theory, there are at least nine different types of intelligence ranging from audible intelligence (learning by hearing) to interpersonal intelligence (learning through interactions with other people).

Oh Look! Another Day, Another Wack-A$$ Teacher In Our Public School System.

“Teachers this is just a reminder that if you have a trans student who doesn't present in the way that you think they need to, that's probably from a place where their parents aren't super supportive and they need more support from you.”

Ummm, dude. That kid in your classroom? THAT IS NOT YOUR KID. And it’s not your responsibility to get them to “present in the way that” you think he or she should be “presenting.” WTF.

Perhaps you should think about TEACHING THE SUBJECT YOU ARE PAID TO TEACH instead, since hardworking taxpayers are paying for you to spew this grooming bulls*t instead of doing what you’re supposed to be doing.

In the private sector, you’d be aaaaaaalll sorts of FIRED. ....

School Districts Have Tools They Need to Address Alleged Teacher Shortages

Special-interest groups and some members of Congress claim public schools across the country are suffering from crisis-level teacher shortages in the wake of COVID-19, and they are demanding more money from taxpayers as a solution.

The reality, however, is a much different story: Most schools have enough teachers, and money that could be used to hire additional teachers or retain existing ones has been spent growing enormous administrative staffs that have ultimately added little value to the classroom....

Middle Schooler Accused of 'Sexual Harassment' Under Federal Law for Using 'Wrong' Pronouns

The supposed sexual harassment? Calling a student by their biological pronoun in March — instead of calling her “they” and “them” as she requested, according to WLUK-TV.

School district officials surprised the boys’ parents in April when they told them that the district would be charging their sons for sexual harassment under Title IX.

The federal civil rights law, among other things, prohibits gender-based harassment through name-calling in educational institutions receiving federal funding.

“I received a phone call from the principal over at the elementary school, forewarning me, letting me know that I was going to be receiving an email with sexual harassment allegations against my son,” Rosemary Rabidoux, the mother of one of the boys, told WLUK-TV.

Florida’s Kids Will Learn Their History

“Economics is not the central problem of this century. … Faith is the central problem of this age. The Western world does not know it, but it already possesses the answer to this problem — but only provided that its faith in God and the freedom he enjoins is as great as Communism’s faith in man.”

So said Whittaker Chambers in Witness, a book that this year celebrates 70 years since its publication, and a book that renowned critic Hilton Kramer called “one of the few indispensable autobiographies ever written by an American.”

We have no idea whether Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has ever read Witness, but a bill he signed into law last week makes clear that he understands not only the threat of communism, but the need to educate our children as to its man-centered atheistic wickedness. ....

135+ Teachers, Aides Charged With

Child Sex Crimes

An analysis conducted by Fox News Digital looked at local news stories week by week featuring arrests of teachers and teachers’ aides on child sex-related crimes in school districts across the country. Arrests that weren't publicized were not counted in the analysis, meaning the true number may well be higher.

The analysis found that at least 135 teachers and teachers’ aides have been arrested in 41 states between January 1 and May 13, which works out to about an arrest a day on average.

The vast majority of the arrested educators were men. Of the 135 arrests, at least 102, or 76%, involved alleged crimes against students.

Many of the arrests involved especially heinous allegations.....

‘Gender Transition Closets’ May Be Coming to a School Near You

Radical activists, or as they would call themselves, teachers, have created “transition closets” so students can dress as the gender they identify with while at school.

Unbeknown to their parents, kids can enter a “transition closet” and choose from a wide variety of clothes and accessories to correlate with their desired gender that day. They would change into their normal clothes before going home, so as to leave their parents in the dark, of course.

So basically they are teaching these children to deceive their parents, subvert their authority and game the system. It's just indoctrination, recruitment and grooming.

An unnamed teacher from an unnamed school posted a TikTok video, from a now suspended account, explaining his intentions of the so-called “safe spaces,” which is to basically indoctrinate and deceive young kids, while encouraging them to lie to their parents.

When the People Tasked With Protecting Our Children Are the Villains

The evidence shows that school closures during COVID were an epic public policy blunder. The school lockdowns in many states were arguably the most significant episode of government-sponsored child abuse in American history.

You don't have to take my word for it. Last week, the liberal New York Times came to the same conclusion after an extensive investigation. The New York Times found:

"Extended school closures appear to have done much more harm than good, and many school administrators probably could have recognized as much by the fall of 2020. In places where schools reopened that summer and fall, the spread of Covid was not noticeably worse than in places where schools remained closed."

The New York Times also found that the primary victims were the lowest-income children. Wealthy families found.....

Learning loss is real, and teachers unions owe an explanation

No parent needs to be told that remote learning during COVID was a disaster.

But a new study confirms it. Its findings cry out to heaven for accountability among those who brought this disaster upon their own school districts by ignoring science and keeping school buildings closed long after there was any justification.

Harvard researchers found that students in schools that stayed remote into 2020 lost the equivalent of half a school year of learning over the two-year window beginning in the fall 2019 academic year.....

Release the Kraken!

A lot of momma bears rose up when they were told they have no business being involved in their children’s education.

Well, it’s finally happened! George Orwell’s book 1984 is beginning to take place right before our eyes. The Department of Homeland Security, established after 9/11 to protect us from foreign adversaries, has changed its mission. Now it is going after the real threat to America — white supremacists, nationalists, and MAGA people. Who knew? ....

Never Too Young to Learn Responsibility

If we’re serious about returning common sense to America, then we must move beyond these busybodies (and our own fears) and start encouraging a society where children are given more responsibility and independence at younger ages.

How young is too young for a child to be running errands? That question is prompted in large part by the Netflix show Old Enough!, which features Japanese preschoolers running errands for their parents.....

More Money, More Problems: Schools Struggle To Spend COVID Relief Funds

American schools have spent just 7 percent of the $122 billion in federal aid allocated to them under the American Rescue Plan.

Districts across the country are "struggling" to spend the money earmarked as part of the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday. The Los Angeles Unified School District "has yet to spend a penny" of its more than $2.5 billion of relief funds, according to the Journal. And New York City Public Schools were "behind target" on spending coronavirus relief funds.

Schools can use relief payments to fund salaries and mental health services or purchase ventilators and personal protective equipment, which teachers' unions deemed a prerequisite for reopening during the pandemic. The American Rescue Plan earmarked 20 percent of school aid for programs to combat learning loss caused by remote learning. But schools are hesitant to hire more teachers, whose salaries they would have to cover when funding expires, and supply chain issues have made it hard to obtain ventilation systems and other equipment.

Some schools found creative ways to spend their relief funds.

Public Schools Force Unvaccinated Students To Stay Home—Even If They Test Negative

Public schools are forcing unvaccinated students to quarantine at home after COVID-19 exposures—even if they test negative, according to the Washington Examiner.

In Washington, D.C., New York City, Chicago, and other districts, schools bar students from classrooms for five days following a direct COVID exposure or a close contact with a COVID-positive person. To return to in-person learning, the students must test negative after the five-day quarantine and wear a mask for five more days in school.

Democratic officials and teachers' unions have advocated throughout the pandemic for remote learning and in-school mask mandates. But there is little evidence for the effectiveness of either policy. Children are at very low risk of severe illness or death from COVID-19. In-school transmission is also "extremely rare," according to an American Academy of Pediatrics peer-reviewed study.

Remote school has also been detrimental to learning. A Harvard study published in May found students who experienced remote learning in the 2020-2021 school year lost 50 percent of their typical math curriculum learning. Educational disparities were the worst for poor, black, and Latino students.

Trans Kids’: Planned Parenthood’s New Revenue Stream

The leading abortion mill is aggressively expanding its business by building a “transgender” pipeline from schools to its clinics.

Last year, we noted that America’s number one abortion provider, Planned Parenthood, was actively seeking to expand its business beyond being a mere abortion mill by also including gender transitioning service. Thanks to reporting from Abigail Shrier, it was exposed that Planned Parenthood was handing out cross-sex hormones to teenagers like they were candy.

The obvious implications are that Planned Parenthood is developing a new and potentially bigger revenue stream than it gets from providing abortions. As a Planned Parenthood clinic employee observed, “Trans identifying kids are cash cows, and they are kept on the hook for the foreseeable future in terms of follow-up appointments, bloodwork, meetings, etc., whereas abortions are (hopefully) a one-and-done situation.”

In order for Planned Parenthood’s latest venture to turn into a growing revenue stream, the organization has invested heavily in school programs. It’s an obvious effort to groom or indoctrinate children into not only accepting but embracing gender confusion.

Through the development of so-called “well-being centers,” Planned Parenthood has been aggressively working with schools to create sex-ed programs that affirm “transgender” ideology.

SATIRE: The Future Has Spoken: America’s Kids Sound Off on Current Events

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D., Calif.), the lawmaker best known for farting on live television and cavorting with a Chinese spy, on Monday received a considerable amount of social media engagement after relaying a conversation he had with his precocious toddler about the mass shooting at a supermarket in Buffalo.

"My 4-year-old just FaceTimed to ask what I'm doing to ‘help the people in Buffalo' and ‘why did the bad man do this?'" Swalwell wrote on Twitter, the popular social networking website. "Absolutely gutting. This cannot be his normal. It's time to BAN ASSAULT WEAPONS. #EndGunViolence."

The congressman's tweet inspired the Washington Free Beacon to ask our readers with young children to interrogate their kids about politics in order to get a sense of where they stand on some of the most controversial issues of the day. Here are some of the most insightful responses we received:....

Disney Launches ‘Pride’ Clothing Line for Kids

Disney launched a new LGBTQ “pride collection” clothing line for children on Monday, including several rainbow-colored t-shirts.

“The Disney Pride Collection was created by LGBTQIA+ employees and allies at The Walt Disney Company and is a reflection of their incredible contributions and place at the heart of the company,” Disney said in a statement. “We stand in solidarity with our LGBTQIA+ community everywhere.”

White Kids Can’t Read Either

Even allegedly traditional supporters of public schools are recognizing just how horrible its offerings are. Let’s look at the numbers.

I was driving down the freeway the other day when I did a double take at a billboard rising from the side of the road. It’s blaring message read, “40% of white kids in MN can’t read either (at grade level).”

That such a message was on a billboard shouldn’t have been a surprise. My organization did the same thing roughly seven years ago—in fact, we were the first in the state to highlight how bad the education system is via billboard.

Canceling Student Loans Is Bribery and Inflationary

Few Americans today pay back the welfare benefits they’ve received. The great bulk of them, I suspect, lack the means to do so, and for those who become financially successful such a though

t probably never enters their mind.

Which brings me to Joe Biden’s 1.6 trillion proposal to cancel student debt. “Not only will plumbers be paying for the educations of rich lawyers and activists with junk degrees, everyone will be paying for it through higher inflation,” Monica Showalter writes at the American Thinker.

New Biden Title IX Order Will Help Schools Push Transgenderism On Your Kids Behind Your Back

The Biden administration is set to issue a new interpretation of Title IX that embraces transgender ideology, going even further than President Obama did.

The new rule will redefine “sex” under Title IX to include “gender identity.” This is not only contrary to what Congress clearly intended, it will also harm children and violate parental rights.

Redefining the word “sex” in Title IX in the new Biden administration rule will pressure schools to mislead emotionally distressed children into thinking they can change their sex.

Time to Secure America’s Schools

The immediate practical action to take is to place armed security in all schools.

Evidently, no lessons were learned from previous school attacks. Following the massacre in Uvalde, Texas, that was the conclusion of a father of a victim of the 2018 school attack in Parkland, Florida. Andrew Pollack, whose daughter, Meadow, was killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, said that this most recent atrocity was “avoidable.”

Pollack called on parents to “go to their local school districts, get involved, see who’s on their school boards, and see if they’re taking school safety seriously.” He added, “There’s no reason in 2022 to send your child to a school that doesn’t take this school safety serious[ly].”

In Fairfax, Virginia, parents at a recent school board meeting expressed frustration with the lack of greater security in their district’s schools. “I absolutely think that we have to have more security at school,” stated a member of the parents group Virginia Mavens. “We have banks, we have large corporations, our very own members of Congress have armed guards, we have police officers on guard protecting them. Why not our children?”

Take Up Running…For Your Local School Board

If you have the time, the grit, and the heart to make a difference serving on a board of education, you should run for your local school board.

Years ago, I was talking with three or four guys at a party in Asheville, North Carolina when one of them mentioned he was thinking of running for our local school board. “You better stock up on aspirin,” one of the other men commented. The prospective candidate never entered the school board race

.

Most of you reading these words are aware of the school board controversies that have erupted around the nation these last few years. Critical race theory, in-class programs teaching sex and gender to children as young as kindergarten, and sexually-explicit books read in class or featured by school libraries have caused explosions at some of these meetings. Other parents are upset that their kids are failing to learn even the basics like reading, writing, math, and American history.

Short of withdrawing their children from government schools, mom and dad often don’t know how to change the radical social agenda taught in some classrooms or how to help improve the curricula. Some protest, but I suspect most feel powerless, asking themselves, “What can we do?”

School Safety Initiative

Nearly 20 years separate the horrible tragedies at Columbine High School in Colorado and Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.

In that time, too little has been done to make our schools safer. That’s why our grieving nation is again searching for a solution.

If America is

ready to get serious about school safety, we need to focus on a range of pressing issues—including mental health, family breakdown, culture, media, and more. Our children and grandchildren deserve to be safe at school. We can’t allow another tragedy to occur....

Two Families Challenge Utah’s Transgender Athlete Ban

On Tuesday, two anonymous families sued a Utah ban on transgender athletes competing on girls’ sports teams. The families claim the ban keeps their children from playing the sport they love.

According to a report from the Associated Press, the lawsuit was filed in state court. The families argue that “categorical bans on transgender athletes violate provisions of the state constitution that ensure men and women enjoy equal rights and due process.”

Bans like Utah’s have popped up across the country after collegiate swimmer, Will “Lia” Thomas, made headlines this past swim season for competing on the women’s swim team at University of Pennsylvania. Thomas competed on the men’s team for three previous seasons. Townhall reported how Thomas took home a Division I title at the NCAA championships in March.

In a statement, one plaintiff in the lawsuit in Utah said that “my last season playing volleyball was one of the best times of my life.” The plaintiff is a 16-year-old high school student.....

Town Cancels Drag Show For Kids, Citing Safety Concerns

The City of Jasper, Indiana, along with the Dubois County Pride committee, canceled its “Family Friendly Drag Show” over safety concerns after the event was shared by the Libs of TikTok Twitter account.

An online advertisement for the June 24 event, which Libs of TikTok shared, encouraged attendees to bring cash for tips and emphasized that the event was for all ages. Despite the cancellation of the drag show, the Dubois County Pride in the Park event will otherwise continue as planned, with food trucks, a pool party, a circus and a glow dance party in a local park, according to a Wednesday announcement by Dubois County Pride.....

Lunatic Fringe Thinks Pride Parades Are Good for Kids

The extremist fringe really isn’t extreme on the left anymore. They want children to be thoroughly exposed to a segment of the population that is, in reality, a statistical outlier and still truly on the fringes of society according to most Americans. As part of the process, some think kids should experience annual semi-pornographic Bacchanalias known as pride parades.

The groomers are everywhere these days, but nowhere are they more visible than at LGBTQ “Pride” parades, where every kind of debauchery imaginable is on full display in neighborhoods and on city streets around the world. A website called Fatherly warns in its Parenting section that pride parades are “filled with sights that may be new to kids, like public nudity and kink. Not to mention that Pride parades aren’t the most sober of places.”

Research shows armed teachers save lives

The idea of arming trained, volunteer school staff members to serve as a first line of defense against any targeted attack on students has been dismissed by Democratic lawmakers and teachers unions alike, but a majority of voters appear much more receptive to the idea. A new poll by the Trafalgar Group found almost 60% of voters believe that the absence of armed school staff members makes schools more dangerous, with just 30% disagreeing.

More importantly, as we discuss on today’s Bearing Arms’ Cam & Co, research into the idea bolsters the claims by supporters that having an armed presence on campus can save lives… a lot of lives.

Dr. J. Eric Dietz is the director of the Homeland Security Institute at Purdue University, and has been studying this issue for years with an eye towards reducing casualties and ending these active shooter incidents as quickly as possible. During today’s conversation, Dietz told me that computer modeling conducted by the HSI shows that two things can reduce fatalities in an active.....

North Carolina preschool teachers showed flash cards to children depicting “pregnant men”

Ballentine Elementary School in Fuquay-Varina, N.C., located near Raleigh, has been caught teaching preschool children that men can get pregnant.

Rep. Erin Paré (R-Wake County) received an email from a concerned parent in her district who took pictures of flashcards her child was shown depicting what appears to be a pregnant man soon to give birth.

The flashcard shows a male figure holding a large pregnant belly with the female figure standing behind him while holding his hips in support.

POLL: Nearly Half Of Democrats Think Disarming Teachers Makes Schools Less Safe

Nearly half of Democratic voters believed preventing properly trained teachers from carrying firearms made classrooms less dangerous, according to a May survey.

Of Democratic respondents, 48.2% believed that preventing properly trained teachers and school.....
