1000 STEVIES is produced by founders CHI CHI VALENTI and JOHNNY DYNELL and THE JACKIE FACTORY. The bill stars some of clubland's most impressive vocalists - "Ladies Of The Scissor Sisters" AMBER MARTIN and BRIDGET BARKAN, Boston's witchy chanteuse NIKI LUPARELLI, "Rock and Realness" queen MARYANNE PICCOLO and classical gender-blender KRYSTOFER MAISON. Other highlights will include drag performance star POISON EVE in a celebration of the film GYPSY 83, moon drenched go-go and the famous "Tambo Toss".
Neither a contest nor a karaoke show, NOTS is the ultimate Stevie Nicks celebration. The show is produced by founders CHI CHI VALENTI and JOHNNY DYNELL and THE JACKIE FACTORY. Between and after show sets the audience twirls on the all-Stevie/ Fleetwood dancefloor presided over by DJ SAMMY JO. In 1990, Paul J. began working on a character which eventually became Sister Helen Holy. Taking on the sensibility of Paul J’s Southern Baptist upbringing, Sister Helen also benefits from Paul J’s uncanny improvisational skills. Frequently misconstrued as a Catholic nun, due to the “Sister” title, Helen is quick to point out that, as a member of the First Southern Fried Self-Satisfied Baptist Church, her “Babatist” faith is the only true religion anyway. A mix of music, news, scripture interpretation, special guests and audience interaction, the show is a hit with audiences. PRAISE BE! This is Sister Helen's first time performing on Fire Island
