ICELAND'S NORTHERN LIGHTS
Known as the land of fire and ice, Iceland is also absolutely one of the best places on earth to view the magnificent Northern Lights.
November is a very good time to be in Iceland to view them because the country experiences long, dark nights. With daylight shrinking to just 5 to 6 hours by the end of the month, you do not have to stay up extremely late to start your search; night falls early.
November also falls into the off-season, meaning accommodations, flights, and car rentals are generally cheaper, and major sights have fewer tourists. Also, snow-dusted landscapes and frozen waterfalls provide dramatic backdrops during this special time of year.
