UK AND PARTNERS RECEIVE GROUNDBREAKING GRANT
|
An elite $4 million NIH Research Evaluation and Commercialization Hub (REACH) grant received by the University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, Commonwealth Commercialization Center (C3) and the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development demonstrates the power of partnership while paving the way to bring dozens of new med-tech and health-related companies to life across the state in the coming years.
“It is an honor to work with the University of Louisville, C3 and public academic institutions across the state to advance and accelerate innovative ideas that could lead to new products and technologies,” Dr. Linda said. “Throughout the state we have untapped resources of inventive and entrepreneurial individuals and groups whom we hope to provide opportunities that will aid in transforming ideas and discoveries to tangible health benefits.”

DEADLINE FOR XLERATOR NETWORK FUNDING OPPORTUNITY: IDEAS-TO-PRODUCTS
|
|
Deadline to submit for the Ideas-To-Products (I2P) is this
Friday (November 22) at 6:00 p.m. EST.
This funding opportunity is through our NIGMS STTR Technology Transfer Accelerator Hub grant called the "Southeast XLerator Network." It is aimed at supporting pilot projects to advance innovations by quickly and clearly demonstrating whether a technology or product is worth of moving through the commercialization process.
It is important to note that the I2P program is not a traditional academic grant program. It is product focused and requires business-case project management.
