Shelf Life: History Edition

A Special Note from the Library: Each week, we love sharing a slice of our library's history with you. This week, we're taking a small turn from the past to look toward the future. The Talbot County Free Library is celebrating 100 years of providing books, materials, programs, and services to our community, and we're excited to invite you to the Centennial Celebration Gala - an evening of conversation, community, and celebration.

Inspired by our roots in the 1920s, this special event will feature live music, exceptional food and drinks, and special guest speakers— all in the company of friends, neighbors, and fellow library supporters. Proceeds from this event will raise funds to support library programs, collections, and welcoming spaces that help our library, and community, thrive.

This is a ticketed event, and we understand that may not be within reach for everyone. Whether you attend, sponsor, help spread the word, or support the library in your own way, we're deeply grateful to have you as a part of our library community. Here's to the next 100 years!

Have a story or memory you'd like to share? Send us an email at librarymemories@tcfl.org - anonymous submissions accepted also!
