Raise Your Voice! Alza La Voz!
This event is for everyone not just survivors of Domestic Violence!
Domestic violence affects thousands of Texas families every year, crossing every community, culture, age, and economic background. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, more than 250,000 family-violence offenses were reported statewide in 2024.
Even more alarming, the Texas Council on Family Violence reports that 161 Texans were killed by an intimate partner in 2024, and 71% of those homicides involved a firearm. The organization also found that 75% of victims killed had sought help to end or escape the abuse.
These numbers remind us why “Raise Your Voice! Alza La Voz!” is so important. This conference is about more than awareness—it is about prevention, education, resources, safety, and empowering survivors to know they are not alone.
By bringing together law enforcement, advocates, community organizations, professionals, and survivors, we can help break the cycle of violence.
Listen. Speak Up. Offer Help. Support Victims.
Together, we can raise our voices and help create safer families and stronger communities.
