CHAMBER UPDATES | JULY 30, 2025

Chamber Leaders-

Many of us refer to the dog days of August as a way to identify the heat and humidity here in the Tri-State area. Things are certainly heating up here at the Colerain Chamber of Commerce, with some HOT HOT HOT news and events listed below.

Some of the highlights, with more details in the newsletter:

  • Six new chamber members in July. While certainly not a record, it is a sizeable group of new involvement.
  • August 6 - NWLSD Back to School Health and Safety Fair
  • August 8 - Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Flying Ace Express Car Wash
  • August 12 - Women's Networking hosted by Ohio Living Llanfair with guest speakers from LSC LongSchaefer CPA/PFS
  • August 15 - BB Riverboat Dinner Cruise - Enjoy a fun evening cruise with fireworks lighting up the river!
  • August (Third and Fourth Thursdays) - Networking Events at Pinecroft Estate hosted by Madi's House and Gilligan's Tap Room
  • September 12 - Fire & Police Appreciation Breakfast -Join us in honoring our first responders!
  • October 21 – Live2Lead Leadership Conference -Hosted at Mercy McAuley High School, featuring John C. Maxwell and Jesse Cole, the high-energy founder of the Savannah Bananas!

As families settle into new routines with the return of school and fall sports, there's plenty of excitement in the air — especially with football season kicking off and many area teams showing strong potential this year.

Amid all the seasonal buzz, it's also a great time to take advantage of Chamber programs like our new financial literacy initiative, Colerain Achieves Financial Empowerment (C.A.F.E.), Team Up To Green Up, and Community Giveback Day. All designed to help strengthen our community and support those who live, work, and do business here.

We welcome your involvement as time and resources allow.

DEFY Cincinnati is an action-packed trampoline park located at 8350 Colerain Avenue in Cincinnati, Ohio. It features an array of extreme attractions, including open‑jump trampolines, ninja courses, extreme dodgeball, zip lines and Boulder Ball pits. The park also offers Flight Club memberships—with perks like member‑only events, discounts on parties and fuel zone deals—and various single‑day ticket options for unlimited access or timed jump sessions. In addition, DEFY Cincinnati hosts birthday parties and group events.

DEFY is an attitude and a rallying cry promoting individualism and freedom from the norm. It’s a collection of extreme air sport parks across America that are rewriting the rules of sport — giving our communities a place where they’re free to express and push themselves.

Society has tons of expectations and rules but DEFY gives everyone a safe place to defy those constraints. We’re for fiercely independent, fearless individuals who pass on organized sports in favor of nonconforming ones that challenge them in non-traditional ways.

Beer & Biz Networking

T

Beers & Biz is a monthly B2B Networking event that includes monthly topical roundtable discussions and open networking.

Roundtable Discussions are broken into primary areas of leadership roles and function and are designed to be topical discussions facilitated by a local leader in each group. These groups are great opportunities for peer-to-peer engagement, sharing of industry best practices, and real-time learnings and struggles of currently relevant topics.

While Beer & Biz is not hosted by the Colerain Chamber, Dave serves on the steering committee and we are glad to support this opportunity for our members to connect, network, and engage with business professionals from across the city in a fresh, dynamic setting. The location changes monthly, and we will update our monthly calendar.

Don't miss your chance to join us for one of the Colerain Chamber's most popular events, BB Riverboat Cruise, Friday, August 15th!

Enjoy an evening of dinner, cruising the river, entertainment, and fireworks—all included with your ticket.

Chamber members are welcome to bring guests for this

memorable night out.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT...

Women's Networking Luncheon- This month's luncheon was hosted by chamber member Friendship Baptist Church. We had a fantastic group of women come together to network and make new connections.

Dave was happy to present a grant recipient check from the Colerain Chamber Foundation to nonprofit She Thrives, to continue their work to help with women.

The community came together on July 12th, for the official dedication of the

Colerain Community Mural during the Hands Across Colerain celebration. This vibrant mural, painted by Colerain High School graduate and artist Brian Beck, is a true reflection of our township’s spirit, unity, and pride. At 802 feet long, it is now the longest mural in Cincinnati and the second longest mural in the State of Ohio — a powerful landmark that will stand as a symbol of connection for years to come.

Made possible through the Colerain Chamber’s Team Up To Green Up Colerain initiative, this project was brought to life thanks to the generous support of local individuals and businesses who believe in the power of community. A special thank you to Colerain Township, Police and Fire Departments for their presence and support, and to WCPO 9 and Spectrum News 1 Ohio for helping share this story of collaboration and creativity. Together, we’ve created a lasting symbol of hope and unity in the heart of Colerain.

Click here to check out a wonderful video of the day produced by Jason Young, Media Solutions Architect.

What a fantastic evening at our Third Thursday Networking Event—held at Colerain Township’s very own gem, Vinoklet Winery! The award-winning wine, scenic views, and relaxed atmosphere made it the perfect setting to connect, unwind, and grow our networks. 𝐊𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐨 𝐌𝐢𝐤𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐜 — 𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫, 𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐤𝐥𝐞𝐭— has just published a book about his extraordinary life! His memoir, “Life of an Inventor,” will be available in English in the coming weeks and sold right here at the winery.
